You know how "those least" enjoyable games are possible? Because everyone wants to sail solowarriormegaboat, and wg endulges those wishes. Too many cruisercounters (=bb) gives no more destroyercounters (=cruisers). I've grinded the german cruisers a while ago. The fuckfests at t8-10 where I would be one of the two only cruisers in a game I won't forget that fast, seeing that number in the priority target list rising to the moon from the moment you're spotted. I've unlocked the mogami recently. Played a handful battles, same nonsense, but worse given 15km gunrange. Not a single T8 game with her, which would be bad enough given a typical 3 versus 3 bismarck with some added nagato or new mex. I'll only take her out in a division where the two others can permasmoke me. I would like to play battleships, but not against 5/6 others. Cruisers are solely for when in a deeply sadomasochistic mood. Don't really like cv. So I've started with us & jap destroyers... Seems quite evident I *have* no other choice than to help with them "least enjoyable games", no? Only other cruiserline I do is Brits, which seems viable atm. Love to see how people rage about omnismoke, 5 dd-mass torp spam and the like, without realizing they themselves are the very reason that happened... edit: just saw reaperJack made some similar points. His analogy about rock/paper/scissors is spot on, as is the idiocy that is random citadels. I'm very curious how popular the French cruiser line will turn out to be, especially beginning around t7...

Correct. I found the Edinburgh much more enjoyable tbh. Maybe I have to play some more Neptune & get used to her, though I loathe t9/10. I've kept the Fiji, which is atm the only tier (except for t4 & below) with decent mm, and the only cruiserline that doesn't have to fear butloads of bbs thrown at her :-)

Strange comment. I found the Edinburgh & Fiji to be quite similar. The difference for me was with the Neptune. There is of course a very different mm with the Edinburgh (the joy of playing T8 cruisers, I recently unlocked the mogami, but i have barely touched it with that fucked up mm), much more radar and the like, more dd's in t8-x which will try to torp smoke, etc.

You too seem to have a knack for redefining things, because I have reason to believe the Emerald's chance of fire (and HE damage) is way (like waaaay) lower than the Kberg's. Just my two (I find this very strange coming from someone who is making claims about performance of RN cruisers tbh) edit: ninja ftw :p

Ahoy, I remember you asking advice a while ago. I remember many people (including me) advising you to play more lower tiers (4 through 7 for example) before rushing to the higher levels. Since then you reached the minotaur, and, no offense, you can't be happy with the games you play with her, can you? So I'd advice the same to be honest. Regarding invisifire. Do you know you can enable replays of your games? This gives a little file in your wow\replays folder that you can share with anyone. If you have a game in which you encounter invisifiring or other mechanics you don't immediately understand, you can share the file with us, and we can try to explain what happens. As you describe it quite vaguely, it can be numerous things, as said above. I like that you keep asking advice at least. If people say "play lower tiers/coop" that isn't to insult you. It would give you more time to understand the game, that's all, higher tiers are much more complicated regarding positioning, radar (even on freaking bb), longer/better torps, etc. And t9/10 games are boring campfests anyway. (Not to say the tiers below can't be like that as well, but yea...)

Eh? I didn't insult the guy, nor did I try to do that. I only ment to express my amazement at the number of games in the gremmy he has. The "respect the dedication" was ironic, in the sense that I couldn't imagine playing the same ship over & over, especially that amount. I am first of all surprised that you found something insulting in my comment, and second that if you found something "under the belt" therein, you must have an heart attack on a regular basis on this forum...

Those stats certainly agree with what I've been experiencing. Question: what happened in 0.5.14 that would explain the first sudden jump in the graph?

There are some cruisers I sold or don't take out anymore, even though I quite like them (furutaka, konigsberg, hipper, marblehead) Though it's less the matchmaker's fault, than it being a bb overpopulation problem.

Maybe read his post & see he specifically advertised it as a build for a neptune captain? And kalamies' question about manual secondaries still would be valid. If it were a belfast build he would have taken CE and/or IFHE. I think it was a joke or a mistake, though I can't really see what ships that build would be for. Maybe for a Bismarck?

He has hidden the stats because he doesn't want you to see he's sailing the firebrigade version of the nagato - the one where all the secondaries are replaced with firehoses and extinguishers... Extremely bad luck on your part. Why would you want to look up his stats?

To be honest, I think you should play the lower tiers some more first. Your leander stats are ok-ish (55% winrate, 30k damage) but for fiji/edin/neptune the damage stays the same (which isn't good) and the winrates keep dropping. So I'd recommend practicing with leander or fiji for a while until you feel more comfortable. Watch some youtubers playing british cruisers as well, looking for a general improvement to your tactics with them. I'm falling back some more to my fiji as well, since I can't really adjust to the neptune either at the moment (and not liking the battleship infested games at t8-x), so you're not the only one.

If CA/CL are that easy & skill-less, why doesn't everyone take them out? I see you barely have touched cruisers yourself, you're at the cleveland as your highest cruiser. Let me and other interested players know how things go when you reach pepsi/new orleans. If you do well with them "holding down the button and looking at target" please make yt vids or start streaming, cause you'd have discovered tactics giving you eternal fame...
