I was always going to buy this because of my interest in 20th century military history but I have to say the 6 games I've played so far have been great fun with 5 wins and 8 enemy ships sunk. The gun range and turret turning speed dont bother me too much, I just plan ahead and get into range via the cover of islands. The main guns are pretty effective as is the secondary armament (in my limited experience so far). Also the model itself looks lovely. All in all I'm happy with my purchase
