Are you sure you dont have a 32bit System then?

Pro tip: 1. Sell all BBs 2. Buy DDs 3. Buy me a Happy Meal for the fabulous pro tip.
-
Yeah. I also have the problem with starting late into the game. I think its an RAM problem. But to be on topic, yeah the St. Louis is very strong in its tier.
-
If that is what you think then you just have to act accordingly next time and see if it works. Pro tip, dont expect never to be hit by torps.
-
Welcome to the forum, dude. I guess this is some kind of range post? It would be nice if you could explain why CVs should be worth 2 BBs.
-
Quite not so. Dont ignore anything. Everything is a threat. Its your job to evaluate it correctly and find the right solution. For example dont drive in a straight line with a BB for a long time if there are DDs on the other team. (Im not sure if someone has pointed out this important tip already.)

Schuld sind "immer" die BBs
MudMonkey replied to Antikes_Mysterium's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Yeah. The Mutsuki was horrible. Forget the guns. Dont even touch them. They are completly useless. Better concentrate on steering to get out of any mess. 6 Torps are a joke considering the reload time they have. I have endless fun playing the tier 8 US DD, the Benson tho. Just put the Concealment System Modification on it and you have no problem fireing Torps way save within your concealment. And the guns are great ofc. Cant wait to get to the tier 9 to check that one out.
-
So what? He still needs to hit you with his torps. You still can move, right? And you can still one-shot him. If he uses long range torps you will see them 1km before they can even hit you. Btw, its the role of those DDs to hunt down BBs. Just in case you have forgotten this.
-
Its easy for those that dont play DDs and have no idea that this experience would give them valuable insights of how to counter them.
-
And letting him come this close to get you with torps, going into a straight line, not watching your surroundings and mini map is called what? Super-No-Skill?
-
Well, yeah. They were not very clear on this. But as they have over-buffed the turn rates with the last patch I honestly dont expect another buff here. That would make BBs as nimble as ducklings.

Countering smoke? Do you think there should be something to counter it?
MudMonkey replied to DukeH4mm3r's topic in General Discussion
Uhm. How are you countering a smokescreen in RL? With Spotting planes? We should implement them....Oh wait. How long did those smoke clouds last in RL? More than 2 min? Ah well, I guess we are fine then. -
Ofc my little friend http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/15155-patchnotes-for-0313/page__fromsearch__1

Hello my little BB lovers. New patch notes are out. And guess what? New turn rates :3 Sink you soon. Muddy
-
New turn rates? I guess I can go and start polishing my torps. Cant wait for the ingame rage of those beloved and "valued" BB players.

Team with more ships WINS 80% of times... compiled stats.
MudMonkey replied to ephex's topic in General Discussion
In general i would say, yes, that is also my conclusion. The difference in tier is not that big as it is in WoT. A tier 5 DD still can f*#@k up a tier 9 BB. Or a Fuso has not problems whatsoever in a tier 9 battle. Important are the numbers of guns that are on your team. Even caliber is not that important imho. But of course RNG and skill are always a factor. -
Oh yeah. Just imagne the TK possibility if those torps cant distinguish between friend and foe... "as it was in RL". Dont get me wrong, i LOVE DDs but this wont work.
-
First things first. Welcome to the forum, dude. To me it looks like that you have done only damage on ships with tier 4 and lower. And if you sail in a tier 6 CA that would explain your low xp. Thats my guess.
-
Dude, I wont say that you are bad. But you are inexperienced. You will learn how to deal with torps (or not, but I still have hope for you). But to say they are op is just too simple with those few games you have played. And it looks like that most of the players here have already forgotten the maneuverablitiy buff that came with 3.1. Imho those BBs are way too good in dodging torps now. They look like fat Ballerinas. If even this is not enough for you, then you really should (and I start to repeat myself) start to change your playstyle. Dont stay in sniper mode. Have a look at the mini map and your surroundings. Stay with CAs.
-
So its ok to kill DDs with one Salvo but not BBs? How is that balanced? Just because you dont like to play DDs you want them to be weak. And you dont like them because you fail to understand that they require a different play style than your beloved BB. I have the feeling that you misunderstand the game concept. Every ship has its role and none is safe. The role of a DD in this game is to hunt the big fat BBs. And thats not an easy task.If you get hit that often maybe you should reconsider your BB playstyle. So far you only have 3 games in PvP in DDs. I cant say that you have any idea how to play them and that it is not easy.

Whoa. Long post, dude. But nice work! Welp, you expect others to thank you for playing and doing stuff that falls into your role? No one ever thanked me either for killing 5 ships with my DD. The world is a cruel, dark place, man. I cant say too much about plane reworking as I am not playing CVs. But I guess I can say a little bit about spotting. I play DDs and like them very much. One of my Captains has 6th sense so I can tell you that if there is a CV on the other side I get spotted a lot! And most of the time its not even intentional. If you go now and detach the spotting plane from its mother ship then you will greatly improve the spotting abilities because not only can you cover a second area apart from your ship but also implement a "second eye" for you and not only a better view range for your ship. That would be a big buff. I have no idea how you would compensate this kind of buff. I think it would be little unfair against DDs that need stealth as a determining element of their play style and because of their low health pool. I can tell you that you get spotted a lot as a DD player if there are spotting planes in the air. And very often you wont even see those spotting planes. Without the 6th sense very often you get spotted even if you are still far away from the enemy and outside of the detection range without that spotting plane. Therefore I cant say that imho the spotting mechanism for planes needs to be buffed. But perhaps you guys who think differently can convince me
