I am rather completely new to WoWs (well i've already looked up damage mechanics and this kind of stuff though, just not much experience in game), and i've started the BB line so playing the Kawachi right now. And in the 10 games or so i've played with it.... i have gotten 2 battles, where i am the only tier 3 ship (in both teams), in a tier 6 game with 2-3 tier 6 on each side. So my question is very simple.... what am i supposed to do with that kind of MM? No sarcasm in that question, i genuinely want to know what i should try to achieve, how best i can help the team in such a situation. The 1st of those game ended up decent, went with 2 other BBs, just sailing for 7-8 minutes without anything to shoot (such fun), then ending up in the middle of a shootout, but i was lucky noone focused on me (at first at least) and that there was no DD to shoot me cause i was a really easy target there. And i got some "lucky" citadel hits against their cruisers. (Lucky cause those guns are so accurate you know ) The 2nd... i tried to be a litte more "sneaky", but the enemy tier 6 CV said "no", and proceeded to wipe out 90% of my Hp in 5 seconds. Arguably i reacted way too late, but it's hard to know when to react/start turning when it's like only the 3rd/4th time you get attacked by TBs. Still, i'll take from that game that staying a bit further away from teammates is not a valid option, at least with such MM? So what's left? Can't support at longer ranges, can't stay alone, should i just go in straight (well not too straight cause of DDs) and stay in the middle tanking for my team while missing my shots every 30 seconds (if i ever get in range to use them that is)?

So basically.... low tier BBs get higher MM compared to low tier CA/DD...... what sense does that make? xD I'd rather drive a tier 3 DD in higher tier game, at least i got the speed and the torpedoes still hurt a lot. If at least you had range... then again considering the accuracy.... Well that's what i tried in that 2nd game.... but the mean CV Even if maveuvered better, i'd probably still have lost 50% of my health, and then i was spotted too by those TBs. And that fuso that couldn't see me suddenly could and was largely in range to send a nice gift. Although it does make sense to try that xD I'll keep closer to allies and use large islands to hide =p Still.... if it's that bad then it's kinda mean towards new players. I don't care and will go beyond that (i'm nearly done with that grind actually), but lots of players would just think "BBs suck". Or maybe it's the introduction to players of that "You know, you could use gold to get free xp and skip this awful tank/ship/plane/spaceship/lazor-firing robot" Well i'm used to that, but would rather like it to stay away from my warship game, if at all possible!

Well yea i noticed that. And it makes more sense here than -3/+3 in WoT i think. Was surprised at first, but i assumed that's just how it is. What i found more annoying in those was being the only tier 3, especially as BB. Not even one ennemy tier 3 to match xD But i'm not here to complain about that, i'll just accept that's how it is. And ...that wasn't really my main question anyway ^^

Is it the ship that is that bad? Cause as the first battleship i'm playing.... i just don't want to play any other battleship ever at this point.....
