Also in the sketch you provided they have better pen then Bayern and as distance grows more, the gap gets bigger which as i wrote earlier, Bayern is a good brawler and a poor distant shooter. Again, why thinking Mutsu will be brawling against a Bayern and Bayern will punish her? It doesn't have to. Mutsu will keep punishing her from distance, this is how these ships are played anyway. Why would a Mutsu brawl against another BB with such an armor in the first place? Again you are clearly thinking close encounters while Dunkek can use its enormous speed (which is its gimmick anyway) to engage and disengage if needed. Also, i can make these ships work pretty good to see their usage/impacts in battles which gives me a clear idea.

Are you sure WV and Mutsu don't have better pen than Bayern? Maybe you need to read more. It is rather funny to compare Bayern guns to Mutsu or WV. And also funny you talk about angling and armor. Bayern is a brawler and useless as a distant shooter while both Mutsu and WV do excel in distant shooting and it matters not whether a tier 6 ship is angled or not, these two deal good amount of damage. Also, a well played Bayern will have even more serious issues with a well played Dunkek.

Mutsu has the biggest guns in tier 6 which rip apart other ships. They are not laser accurate but they are not as wonky as KM guns either. If aimed right, it usually ends up as big chunks of dmg or citas. Maybe you are using it too far, like 20km? If so, play it around 15-17km range.

According to your ships, it seems you do fairly good in Tirpitz and it is strong for this ranked season. Maybe you can try Tirpitz?

If you can't do damage to not only Bayern but any other ship, it is not Mutsu's fault.

Did you ever play with WV or Mutsu?

All BBs can be citadeled when they show perfect broadside or easily by DBs. It is a brawling, slow ship with inaccurate guns which probably works against beginners. Bayern is solid but it doesn't mean it won't get melted by other tier 6 BB guns. Mutsu, WV, Fuso, Izmail, Warspite wil outgun him any day. Dunkek will play with Bayern like cat and mouse. Well, by design Izmail is not played broad side anyway. And many BBs including Bayern will be citadeled in a perfect broad side condition, only harder compared to Izmail. On the other hand, an Izmail will always outgun a Bayern, and will tank more if played right (not stationary). You overestimate Bayern guns and underestimate other BBs guns. For example, do you have any idea what WV or Mutsu guns can do to Bayern?

There is also MM factor. We can't disregard it. A player finishing under 100 game does not necessarily mean he is more skilled than a player who finished in 130 games. There is always a contingency and it consists of MM factor, choosing the right ship factor, other in game and out game factors as well. If your team is already winning the game, sunk 2 enemy ships in 5 minutes , capped and you killed 3 ships plus one last minute kill steal, it doesn't mean you are an extraordinary player. It is already a landslide win. This team would still win without you against that team. The real skill comes into factor when saving a star. Bad example but, Barcelona vs. Verona, bets are already off for Barcelona. Expectations are landslide 5-0. Messi scoring three goals vs. Verona won't show him as the real Messi with skills. His team will win with or without him. But when Barca faces an equally skilled team like let's say Real or i don't know, Bayern? and Messi scores three goals there, then his skills will shine more. In the other scenario, let's put Messi into Verona and they play against Barca. Barca will win but Messi will probably score one or two. So even Verona lost, Messi used his skills to score. Examples like Brazil:1 Germany:7 are excluded because they are rare.

You can, depending on enemy DD and its hp.Or he may rush you. If your torps and hydro ready (which i assume one wouldn't smoke without having the neverending hydro ready) it is even better.

The problem Benson vs Cossack is Cossack has 300mt spotting advantage. He can send torps and shoot first for a 2-3K salvo easy before Benson even turns his turrets. Then exchange a couple of fires with Benson and use one of his 7 short burst smokes and disengage. A few moments later, re-spot Benson and take advantage of first shot once more. In spotting range Cossack can also go towards the Benson, smoke up and hydro him. Happened to me once today in a ranked game, Benson rushed me in my smoke after our engagement but he got wasted because i easily outmaneuvered his 59knots torps and kept shooting at him. The closer Cossack is, more dangerous he becomes. If you keep him at distance of 9-10KM his shells will have a hard time landing on your dd.

That's true. They can keep playing and will grind to rank 1 eventually. Though, they may need to visit a psychiatrist afterwards. This is also true. It is a clown fiesta and i would have stopped playing it after season 10 if it wasn't for the steel. The frustration is often more than the pleasure even in won games. You just wouldn't believe what your eyes see, what those players are doing/or not doing. If one doesn't really care about the steel, or already getting their share of steel from CBs, they should really not consider playing ranks. For beginners it may be a different case but it adds nothing to the skill if you are already at some more advanced level. When i see the team roster and after five minutes into the ranked game, my face is like;

I tried Kidd and Cossack other than Lightning earlier. IMO, Lightning feels more comfortable than Cossack with the extra torp set. Kidd is good as usual but if team is bad it can’t do much. It is more team reliant. In general, there are many players In rank 5-10 bracket that don’t know which ship has radar or hydro, many don’t know where to go, many leave their flanks and their flanks get wiped out without their support, many ships sit in one single square same as you would see in randoms, some CVs don’t care about providing AA to their dds or have incredibly low map awareness they get killed after being spotted. There are occasional AFKs of course. What one can do with these type of players is to save his star. If you have such teams you can’t carry no matter who you are. It goes vice versa for the enemy too. Most of it is RNGesus. If it favors your team you win for sure. If it favors enemy they win. The skill only comes in place to save the star. “But I killed four ships and carried” games are rare and mostly it happens when there is no cv or enemy ships are already very low hp or they charge to your smoke and get torped. When MM RNGesus gives kind of equal teams then your skill shine even more. But skill is irrelevant in landslide MMs.

Lol, no problem. What i mean is, we have been discussing for 18 pages but it will change nothing as early as this thread was posted WG already stated they won't ban ships. So, it's kinda waste of time.

At the very first page, the very first post right after the OP responded that they see no reason to ban Enterprise from ranked, hence it won’t be removed. We are at page 18 now. Let this sink in...

Two Lightning games in ranked (5-10 bracket), both had CVs and the ship is stronk. No star lost. I'd suggest you this or Cossack over Orkan.
