Why care?

Expecting ally ships front of you to be aware of and care for your torps that chase them and meanwhile they also try to pay attention to possible incoming enemy torps coming from their front is just not how torpedo ships should function. Mistakes can happen, the player who torped an ally ship apologizes and life continues but thinking that the ally ship should have been aware of incoming ally torps from his back and dodged them is an unfair and unrealistic expectation. One simply should not send torps behind ally ships. It is as simple as that.

If you are asking my personal opinion, because I play solo and to achieve high WR in solo is difficult, I rather try to play ships according to their strengths. In some I succeed in some I don’t. Regarding the fun part, I mean it is difficult to have fun with a ship you can’t make it work, naturally. So, if you have time, you git gud in it and the better you play it more fun you have. In YY’s case, it was a more effective ship, had more impact before nerfs. In CC’s case, I don’t take their word for a ship (whether they say trash or op) and many other veterans don’t either.

Roon used to be monster, and still is. It is a sort of ship that needs pre-planning (more "pre" compared to others ) due its turret set up. It can be used to rush, depending on the map, to whom it is rushing, and hp of the ships it is rushing, thanks to its torps and armor. Mainly can be played from mid to long range in the beginning and it deals good amount of dmg with fires.Similar to Hindy play style, or even Hipper. KM cruisers are solid in my experience.

@Winged_Cat_DormantWhen YY came out it was the love of DD mains. It could out gun Gearing in knife fights using the adv of sitting low in water, and good reload. Then, gun nerf after torp nerf, and now it is a mediocre DD. One can still do good in it, but it doesn't mean it is what it used to be. YY days are gone, long ago. On the other hand, Hsiengyang seems poor because there are very strong DDs in t8 that can out torp her, out detect her, out gun her, out speed her, out everything. If you wanna go this line, don't expect consistently good games, also due to CVs. Your bets would be better off with UK DD line.

Well I play it pretty much the same way I play izumo. I think the mm needs and intervention

I jumped to Wooster, didn't play Seattle but here is a video that may give an idea: I play Ibuki sort of like Zao, though since it lacks the troll armor of Zao i try to play a bit safer but utilize its torps when necessary. I have a decent wr in it but am far from being a strong ibuki player. Hence, maybe this video could be useful; Hipper; i got double arsonist in Hipper in one game and use it according to the MM. If it is a T6-7 game i play aggressive in it and utilize the torps when possible. If it is a T10 game, use more the HE dmg output. Same with Prinz Eugen, except it can be played even more aggressive thanks to its heal. Surrey, i use more map awareness while sailing it and pay more attention to positioning. Also try to use all heals and use covers if possible. Amalfi, i use torps if enemy is pushing, meanwhile shoot and juke a lot. Its agility with smoke help. Punishing broadsides with AP also helps in Italian cruisers. Now your turn, help me with Soyuz if you are good in it

Have a similar case with Izumo and Baije. Literally the same ships with minor differences, i do better dmg in Baije but less kills, incomparable wr;

Same experience i had, go closer and shots become wonkier, distribution all over the place or overpens. Also, FDG is my worse BB along with Soyuz. I can make FDR work after buffs, didn't play it yet but Soyuz. Just don't wanna think it is a bad ship because i can't make it work. It is in the middle pack of tier 9 BBs per avg. dmg, wr and frags. So, it is us who need to git gud

I am better in Vladi than Soyuz but still potato in it too. Interestingly, i do okay in Lenin. Dunno, if you make Soyuz work good, please enlighten me and take me out of this misery!!!

I will do as you suggested and read about how the game works and in return, you do as i suggest, too, by learning how to play those ships and get better stats in them, so at least you will have an idea what you're talking about.
