Well, premium ships won't be an answer to your stats mate. If you can't manage to get good stats in tech tree ships, you will not necessarily get good stats in prems either. Premium ships are just similar to tech tree ships with some additional gimmicks in return losing some benefits. On the other hand, they will collect good amount of silver credits, xp, fxp and you can train captains in them. Research Bureau ships were not aimed particularly for the beginners but for mostly veteran players who had grinded all or almost all the ship lines and had nothing else to do, anyway. As a new player, why don't you unlock most of the lines you haven't yet before demanding a change with the Research Bureau? You don't have a single tier 10 ship but want to have an easy access to RB ships?

If you want long range HE spamming and hard hitting ship, it is Azuma. If you want a radar (although you mentioned you don't want hydro or radar ship) ship for closer combat Alaska. If you want versatility with torps and hydro, then Agir. It all depends on your play style, not ours. So please do check below links for review of each ship and decide yourself. I don't understand where you get those numbers and why 54% for Lo yang and 51% for Lightning. The ones who ranked out are in above posts where i gave you the numbers. The players who were in Lightnings ranked out with less battles than Lo Yang captains while the exact opposite was supposed to happen according to your theory. I asked you a question earlier; is Lightning Premium? If not, how come people in Lightnings ranked out quicker?

How? I just gave you fact samples above. If You mean average like more than 200 plus games, i.e. 11 Lo yangs ranked out in 207 or more games while 4 Lightnings ranked out the same in 207 or more games. Meaning, it didn't apply to average players either.

You mean in ranked. There are currently 28 Lightning and 37 Lo Yang that ranked out in total. Below 100 games there are 7 Lightnings and 3 Lo Yangs with Lightnings leading in ranking out with lesser games. Is Lightning premium? Those many silver Lightnings did not rank out below 100 games on their own but by their captain, meaning skill matters.

Or who are purple in Enty are also red in Shokaku? People rank out in 60-70 games in non-premium ships. A player that, let's say abuse Enterprise in ranked and ranked out in below 100 games, will also most likely rank out in Lex or Shokaku in plus-minus ten, fifteen battles. People can utilize tech tree ships in CBs even more successfully than premium/special ships. Simple rule, good players will do good in silver or gold ships, average players will do average and bad will do bad. If WG would do this banning of premium ships, which they declared they won't, then what is next? Kremlin, Venezia, Daring, Harugumo, Fiji, Special Captains? There is no single ship in the game that should be banned. Only CV as a class stands out broken and it should be reworkedx2 or moved to a separate mode. Overall, it is not only but mostly about the player's skill level. Give an op ship to an average or bad player and most of the time results won't be outstanding...Such a ship, press Battle button and win the game, does not exist.
