Making a new thread is better. Necroposting is annoying as many things get irrelevant in time. -
Dear Forumites, It has been talked around about the Unique Historical Commanders here and there. My goal is to combine your opinions of these commanders with a mini-poll. Personally, I think the ones for coal are overpriced and could cost less coal or could be a little easier to be obtained with other in-game resources. Some Historical Unique Commanders seem to fit well in BBs, DDs, Cruisers, Carriers and some in multiple classes. Are there any changes you would suggest with talents or personalizations of Unique Historical Commanders? Would you like to see more Unique Historical Commanders, and if yes, which ones? What are your opinions? Thank you. Below are the Historical Unique Commanders that have been introduced into the game;

Necroposting is what’s wrong, not the complaints about it. Ask moderators why they lock down necro threads. -
What part of “UHCs are accessible to anyone” is not clear to you? Or you don’t want anyone to use them just because you don’t choose to use them? How does this sound to you? I don’t like apples so no one else should eat apples. I think our conversation ends here. Gl, hf.

I did the same but it gave me Genova which I already had and gave me 4K doubloons not 5K. Also no doubloons for the cmdr.but a cmdr.
-
It was 9km when it was first introduced, radar not changed. But that may mean, STs tested a 10km radar version and by mistake the change back to 9km was noted on devblog.

Again you are looking at it one dimensional. People also complain about Kremlin not only about Kuznetsov. They complain about Pommern, Benham, Venezia and many other ships. Should all be removed then? Besides, Kuznetsov is accessible to anyone as well. Just because Player X doesn't want to spend their coal on it (while they can), but Player Y spends it, why should Player Y care about Player X's crying? In addition, to want to be competitive or not again is optional. Not only competitive players get these UHCs. I've seen way too many noobs sailing with UHCs in randoms but the ones who want to be competitive get them anyway and again, these UHCs are accessible to anyone.

Anyone complaining about ships and blaming MM or WG instead of their own poor play;
-
Yes but looking at it from advantage point of view is one way, looking from not liking such stuff in the game view is another way. You may not like some commanders that have advantages and some don’t like the weeb commanders. Simple as that. If you say I don’t want x, y, z commanders, one will say I also don’t want 1, 2, 3 commanders.

Fair point. But with the same logic none of the other commanders like Jingles or Weeb ones should have been implemented either as many players don't like weeb stuff and special command sounds can be activated by WG's ModPack anyway.
-
Sounds like hearsay.

They are fine by me. It has smoke for a reason and the Desperate Resistance usually activates quicker than the Triumphant Haul. That means you don't use your DD right, then. I get torpedo reload expert talent activated in almost every game and within five minutes or so and then again and again, multiple times. About the AA gun aiming expert, well it depends on the tier of enemy CV, player, his skill, how many DDs there are on each team, the game situation (like if enemy CV would prioritize you in your Halland or not), which side is winning or losing, etc. It can be very useful in CV games considering the never ending CV planes and useless in non-CV games.
-
^^ On a note, Jerzy Ṡwirski and Luigi Sansonetti activate their talents quite fast, too.

There are people who ranked out flawlessly in Roon, Z46, etc., too. True, seasoned players have wider range of ships but still, generally they will play one or two of them, not all. Newer players have the luxury of hoping in one of above mentioned tech tree ships (like i did with Jutland) and still rank out easy. I don't agree 19 point cmdr matters in this mode. I could use 10 point cmdr and still rank out easy, knowing what the extra 9 point skills bring to table. In addition, new players can get one of the coal and fxp ships unless we are talking about a player with 300 games only. I've seen enough Pommerns sunk in enemy team. The less "gifted" or unskilled players who owned Pommern got devastated while trying to be aggressive and torp. Many of them try to ram when they miss their torps, funny. The thing is ship doesn't make much difference for these less "gifted" players. If they were sailing in i.e. Iowa or Alsace, they would still try to ram when they failed outgunning enemy ship (s). On the other hand, of course skilled players took full advantage of Pommern but these players took full advantage of other ships including many tech tree ships as well. Sprint mode is too easy to put the blame on third person imo. Many of us ranked out easy playing solo.
-
^^ That's because if WG reasons to adjust coal prices, 100K and 75K seem more possible options than 50K. Steel and fxp are for distraction purposes only as they won't remove UHCs out of coal. Focus on lower coal
-
And maybe Neutrashimy for coal? It would definitely worth the coal.
-
ranked sprint format as a game option.

Well with the same logic Yoshino-play Azuma or Zao Then there is Pommern which is not tier 10 as much coal as a tier 10 ship. Since I would be playing her in randoms, what I’d like to know is the fun value of Pommern in randoms. I mean Georgia is a better ship but lacking the torps and hydro. If these features consistently help Pommern carry games and have fun in it when also utilize the secondaries it may be a good choice. Or maybe wait for upcoming ships like x-10, Paolo Emilio, Kita? Idk. I don’t plan to spend the coal for unique commanders as they are priced at highway robbery point. -
That's right, forgot about that.

Probably he can get one now with the coupon.

If you like Moskva, Stalin has similar play style. There are differences of course, imo, Moskva-Stalin is similar to i.e. Yoshino-Zao play style. Slava seems nice as i don't have it either but from the people who own it i heard it lacks the same punishing salvos to bow in ships. I'll definitely get Slava but if i didn't have Stalingrad, i would get her first. It's been available for steel for a very long time, like two years now? Probably it will be one of the first ships to be removed as well. But if i didn't have Stalingrad and Bourgogne (but have both), i would get Bourgogne first
-
You can use Stalingrad in clan battles (if you do CBs). If not, Stalingrad is still more mobile and has radar in addition to deleting broadside ships. It is also a matter of like. Do you like playing cruiser or BB more? That will be your deciding factor.
-
He's got a point. For many veterans the game play quality has been dumbed down to a point where it currently stands between "Not fun anymore, maybe i should quit" and "Let's see how long more i can take this BS".

200% coupon? Haven't received one in five years but 30% ones.
