Public Test of Update 0.9.8: Round 2
_HomTanks_ replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Hi TheWarJaC, If we're talking about emblems and patches, do you mean with the release of the Update 0.9.9. on PTS or live server? Thanks, E066 -
Can you screen shot>?

Player support's message doesn't mention about you being suspended for an intentional AFK. If there are other reports from player support that says you were punished for being AFK please do share.
-
No, we don't know the exact reasons. All we can do is to assume based on our experiences. I wrote my opinion, if that is a claim to you it is your problem.
-
I watched the replay. You were not camping. Yes you were in the open water but not tanking when he was low HP either. The problem imo is with the insults and team damage.
-
Hi, I watched your replay hoping to confirm your post that you were punished unfairly. In summary the replay shows; - You played an asymmetrical battle. - You were in the team of low tiers. - It was a 9vs5 game. Low tier had T5 ships and 1xT6. High tier team had T7s and 1xT8. - You called your teammate Iron Duke "d.mb" and "STFU" because he told you "nice camping with full HP" and you had 99% of your HP intact while he had around 15-20% HP remained. - At the end of the game, you shot your teammate intentionally and turned pink. Then you called the same player "fkn id.ot". If you read the WG's message it doesn't say you got suspended for being AFK. It says you got suspended for passive playing and not helping the team. AFK means not playing at all, being absent the whole or majority of the game. In this specific case, I might be wrong but i think the player you insulted sent a ticket to player support and you got punished for profanity and intentional team damage. Playing smart is not against the rules but insulting and shooting allied ships. I understand you as we all feel the same from time to time but rules are rules. If one wants to play this game they have to either follow the rules or else, accept the possible consequences. Last option would be to comfort themselves by not playing the game. In your case, it is/was your choice. GL/HF.

Bourgogne does better whatever JB does. IF you like playing JB you will like playing Bourgogne more. Bourgogne has more HP, can be 4-5 knots faster than JB, they have practically same rudder (16.6sec vs 16sec.), JB has better turning radius, their detection ranges are pretty much same 14.6 vs 14.3, Bourgogne has 12 guns and better HE&AP dpm, better secondaries JB has better accuracy than Bourgogne and Bourgogne has better accuracy than Alsace. I think it is the second fastest BB in the game after Georgia which makes big part of the fun along with the gun reload booster and speed boost.

I thought about this, too, and compared gunboat Shima to Hayate. - Shima has better concealment on sea, by air and when fires in smoke - Shima has 3x5 torps, better alpha strike and dpm - Shima is faster, has better turning radius and rudder - Hayate has 3K more HP - Hayate has better firing range but not much (gunboat set up Shima 13,6KM vs Hayate 13,9KM) - Hayate has better gun reload (gunboat set up Shima 4.5sec vs. Hayate 3.2sec) - Hayate has twice the better turret rotation speed - Hayate has better HE dpm (gunboat set up Shima 170K vs Hayate 244K) - Hayate has better fire chance (gunboat set up Shima 50.88% vs Hayate 63.94%) - Hayate has better AA (not that it matters) - Hayate has access to TRB (but not sure if it is convenient to use it in this CV Meta) But these are just numbers. Hands-on experience is always more important hence we can ask @Zuihou_Kai and @ImperialAdmiral if they ever tried gunboat Shima and if so, how it is compared to Hayate

I have all the steel ships and would suggest Bourgogne first if you are looking for fun game play and high damage output. Shikishima, normally I wouldn’t get it but had nowhere to spend the steel so I got it. It is not a Yamato gun-wise but armor-wise yes. That much I can tell you. The shells travel faster and you can hit a highly angled running away Yamato at 21km for 54K. So the guns are not joke. Stalingrad is Stalingrad, don’t think needs and explanation. Somers is nicer than I assumed. The torpedo spread is good and the guns reload slow but they punch hard on 1vs1 dd encounters which is nice. If I were to get steel ships with the experience I have on them now, I’d get in order; 1-Bourgogne 2-Shikishima 3-Stalingrad 4-Somers

From the coal ones, i don't have Marceau, Yoshino, Salem and Pommern but rest above T5. More than 300K coal is stacked now and i don't think i will prioritize the torpedo FdG over Marceau, Salem or Yoshino. There is also a good reason to be patient with spending coal due to ships being tested atm may end up in coal. What do you like and don't like about Hayate?
-
Yea, i know there aren't many Hayate players due to its Rodeo Drive price tag but even a couple of players with hands on experience about this ship can provide more solid feedback than many others with assumptions. I'll wait a little bit and then decide. Maybe we will see more Hayate owners stopping by

WG finally admits the level of general cv playerbase?

Gulag? -
Let me know what you think after you play :)
-
You mean you regret buying it? What don’t you like about it exactly when you play it? Is it the torps, guns or something else?
-
Thanks for your opinion but did you even read my original post? I wrote i already informed myself about the ships and asked Hayate owners specifically what they think about Hayate.

Although i understand why Alaska and Atago were given as examples of being better ships, I think comparing Anchorage to Alaska or Atago would not be fair to any party as they have different characteristics and are at different tiers (Alaska). I saw this ship in randoms and it has potential to be abused by good players. Considering general population, i would not call it a strong ship even though it has smoke and torps but i reserve my right to change my opinion once i get my hands on the ship :) The Anchorage dvisions (yes there were 2x anch. divs) i saw today were average players at best and got deleted before mid game. I think it is a ship that will take some time to master for many. On the other hand, i will get it because i am a collector and US cruisers having torps and smoke is unique, unless WG will release 5 others in the feature. For fellow forumites who are not collectors and have question marks, i still suggest them to wait for LVM review and watch only sunicum CCs to see how they perform in this ship. Cheers,

Didn’t watch maybe later but I would say poor man’s Tirpitz if u know what I mean :)

Because there are many new players and most of them don't have the Kutu?

Nice catch! -
1- IMO, ships always come first. Commanders have a couple of talents/ tricks which are situational. Ships are the main element of this game. 2- Out of Salem, Moskva, Yoshino and Thunderer; i'd say 100% Thunderer first. Second ship you will get depends on what cruiser style you enjoy playing and what you already possess. For instance, if you already have Des Moines, skip Salem. If you already have Stalingrad-Petra and/or Al Nevsky go for Yoshino or Salem because a different experience. If you already have Azuma, Zao but no Des Moines or Russian cruisers, then skip Yoshino and go for the others.

It seems I am missing something here...

I've never used static cross hair, mods or anything else. 25K games, only dynamic and works fine. It might be a matter of getting used to it. If you never used dynamic previously, might take some time to adapt and vice versa for static cross hair. -
why EU has a shorter Anniversary?
_HomTanks_ replied to Make_India_Great_Again's topic in General Discussion
IIRC they extended it a day longer after the event started. -
I didn't get a ship out of the SCs but many other stuff and for free, which is great
