Short question regarding new years event
_HomTanks_ replied to Pizzamann_84's topic in General Discussion
Hi, 1. You need to have the ship in port and win a game to get the snowflake bonus. Yes. 2. Once you get the bonus, you can sell it. 3. You can use COOP which is most convenient time-wise or you can play in random, too. Note: In previous events, you needed to win a game with the ship to get the bonus. We don't know yet, if the conditions for this event will be exactly same. -

Bro, thanks a lot. I will check this out later but i really lost my appetite. Don't really care that much anymore as many things don't make sense or worth the time. Unless someone asks a question, i don't think i will answer or i will only give quick responses to some threads. Cheers. -
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: It is a Yamato with bigger guns and minor differences and Musashi, Yamato, Shikishima are all natural born snipers. Not only because they can shoot long distances, but also they are slow ships, have weak broadside, weak AA (whatever AA means) which prevent them to be effective and deadly brawlers. Steering these ships even in mid ranges require close attention to enemy positions at all times.
-
Shikishima is good if you can aim good. You can deal 50K+ from 23KM+ while you can also deal low dmg from 10KM due to overpens.

Resupply flags using ingame currency

I know it isn't the answer you want but you can use the mod station for that purpose. Also; -
Veteran or experienced players. I'm thinking obviously they could be more helpful than general pop. and their answers would be more on point. Could be sticky as well or another format.
-
Yes, a more relaxed corner in a more organized manner would be nice and you are right that there are some veterans coming by the general discussions section of the forum. However, if you check the threads, and posts in those threads, you can find also many irrelevant comments, daily. I'd just like to find a way to get rid of redundancy, unnecessity, that's all.
-
Not only Q&A. For instance, you can post a cv game ss showing how great you did, and a more experienced or better player can say you could have done this or done that to maximize your dmg or kill output.
-
Yes, that's why I don't have a solution :D I know specific people can help with specific experiences but filtering means excluding some out which would bring us the dumpster fire.
-
Of course, you are right as usual but I think the players with such amount of battles are very scarce and would get caught quick if they BS. The concentration of players would be more like you, experience wise.
-
Yes, as I noted, I'd assume mostly veterans would go there but it doesn't mean others wouldn't check or ask questions. On my mind, there are no restrictions there. Anyone from 1 battle to 50,000 battles could come, ask what they wanna ask, get their answers specifically and move on. It could be Veterans Corner, The Barracks, Easy Company, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, you name it.
-
1. I never wrote veterans only. I'd assume mostly veterans know where to go for efficient information by minimizing the time loss. 2. The name could be something else, doesn't have to be veteran's corner. It was just an idea. 3. It could be sub-forum or a sticky or another form.
-
Depending on the question, the answer could be rather long but still spot on, exactly on point.
-
Exactly.
-
Well, i'm sorry i don't know the specific answer as there are many varieties. There can be a rough term covering up veteran players as Allied_Winter explained or more experience specific like I explained or another way someone else can explain.
-
True. I.e. People with extensive ranked experience would answer Qs about ranked. Same goes for other stuff, like events, ops, cbs, ships, etc. I"d expect people to show some maturity. It doesn't have to be sub-forum. It could be a sticky. The main goal of my idea was to have clear talks, conversations, spot on information exchange. I'll give you the same example I gave to minia, "Hi what is today?", "Tuesday", "Ok, thank you", instead of pages of "Do you know what we do on Tuesday's?, The word Tuesday comes from......", etc. It would bring refine, bs free information exchange. You are right, in beginners case, it is much easier to determine. I wrote above about what i thought it would bring. I have around 30K battles, researched all lines, had 300+ ships but regrinding many lines and sold many silver ships, have around 140 prem ships, been here since 2015, been in top clans, have 58%+ wr mostly solo, played all ranked seasons except the pilot season. I'd consider myself a veteran player but the word doesn't have to meet this numbers. That's why i wrote earlier 10-15K games are figurative. I guess it depends on the subject. For example, i have around 1K games only in Shima, almost 800 games in Yamato. Would I be considered veteran for these ships? Imo, yes. A person with 50 battles, no. Can i veteran for CBs? Right now, no. Because i haven't played for months, other people talking about it would be more on point. The definition you made roughly covers, but it can be even more specific to different cases as different players have different experiences. A player who has researched all lines and ships and played considerable amount of games in them could be veteran i guess. Same goes for premium veterans and others.
-
And just ignore the first definition...okay.
-
Yes and that is not what i wrote either. In my earlier posts I covered this. You may have researched more lines, may have more premium ships or may have attended more events, ops and/or cbs, ranks , etc. than a a couple of K player. In this case, the information you share would mean more to me than someone who did not do any of those. I hope i was clear.

The forum is full of people asking questions, looking for answers let alone presenting ideas but when i present an idea i have to also present a solution... And you told me before you are against the idea anyway. It having a solution could just have a mere effect on your idea which is still fine. As well as you don't blame people that don't follow my thread, I also get to see better why the forum is so chaotic.
-
Exactly
-
I have come here to present an idea and ask other opinions. I didn't say I know how the idea would work neither here in the forum nor in somewhere else. How have I not been constructive? Does my constructiveness depend on the solution of the idea? It is an idea. Going down into the idea is okay. Putting 1K-2K player into same basket with 20-30K basket is a nonsense in lightest level. If you think the thread should be closed because I posted an idea without showing how it would work, go ahead.
-
You're just confirming what I wrote. Exactly. Worth more because one has played ten lines more than another, exactly because the new player doesn't know the RTS era to compare post rework. Exactly the game mechanics they have never seen. Yes, see you know the answers. Well, I think even 2K is not a lot at all, not even near. I have an alt account with more than 2K which needs so many lines to be grinded. If that 2K account was someone else, how could they know the lines they never played? And how can you so underrate people who so much experience when you ask why 1K game or 150hours is not a lot? How about 150 multiplied by 20, 30? Apparently to you they are the same. Depends on what they are talking about. 2K players don't have all lines researched, so many premium ships, attended all rank, CB battles, etc. Obviously? Well I'd expect people to reflect into their games what they have learned. Go back to first posts to see what i wrote about the intention of forum section. This is not the first time I see you coming to a thread without contributing anything but just to oppose blindly in a shallow way with no constructive idea whatsoever. So, please refrain yourself from further unnecessary back and forth arguments with me. This is exactly what i mean when i wrote unnecessary, unconstructive, irrelevant...

How am putting 1K player in the same basket with 30K player? And there are veteran players who have over 30K games and know the concepts, now what? Experience wise worth more than 1K player. Yes, true it could be while also a veteran player with 20-30K games, knowing the mechs, playing ranked, CBs and all other stuff you wrote can be even more informed than the player with 2K. And? No, it is not equal. Hence I wrote many players can have experience in different areas. Check sites with stats. They do quantify everyone and forum is a much smaller fragment of the whole player base. How many people come to forum? 300-500?
-
Well, you don't have to attend if you don't want to. Just kidding :) No, of course that's not what i meant. There is no elitism here and if a 30K potato writes BS, it is easy to prove otherwise, no?
-
I didn't write new comers don't have a section, there. It was just a rhetorical question. Thanks for the input though
