@Excavatus is saying that WG promises 1 out of 107 ships and you get one ship out of 107, so it can't be considered as a fraud. However, although until here i agree, this is not that simple. Is it precisely mentioned in the description that you don't have fair odds of getting one out of 107 ships? No. Any buyer would think they will have a fair chance of getting one out of 107 ships. Is this the case in reality? No. What is WG's explanation in announcement? Some ships have higher drop chance. Is this mentioned anywhere in Santa Crates page? No. Fair odds would include all ships having various probability of being drops. Rare/higher tier ships odds of 1/100 to 1/50, low tiers odds of 1/20 to 1/5... that would be the honest way to do this An example would be a lottery of $10M; each ticket has a chance to win $10M... in WOWS lottery you have to win the $10, $50 and $100 prizes BEFORE you even get a chance at $10M. So this is what's not mentioned and what the problem is.

Technically? Maybe. At court? I think even 80% is enough.

Show me the reference of your definition of short list before you start with ,yea lets start, kind of tone. You know, i don't like this tone of you and i will get back at you if you don't keep your conversation cool.

Roll Back after Refund of Santa Gifts
_HomTanks_ replied to Skitzo_Sam's topic in General Discussion
According to the announcement made it should be the date you made the purchase of the santa box. -
Short list doesnt mean 100% you will get the ships in that list. Even 99% which can translate into higher drop rate, is enough to make it in such a list.
-
Yep, that's the proof right there. Pure and simple.

Yea, one can still have fun in div games not restricted to those three ships but also with many other ships. I used to div with 2 Belfasts, 1 Atlanta or all Belfasts or different combinations. From a solo play point of view, they are not as impactful as they used to be although you can still have a good game once in a while. It's not only that the game mechanics have changed, also new lines have been added since their prime time and the player base has gotten worse and worse.
-
Two ships that are far from their prime times anyway.

WG is right. Why is it a problem this year only while it's been a problem since last three years? Hence the refund should be made for past three years.
-
Sure, I understand your point.

Yes and as I wrote in below post; it is totally up to us to continue playing or not. If one chooses not to accept (which they may not) the explanation and refund offer by wg, they are welcome to handle it in any way they want. Personally, I won’t forget what happened but I also don’t think keep posting negative things that we already know over and over one more week will add me anything.

On the other hand, do you think there would be a rage if everyone would start pulling out Belfasts out of the boxes instead of Makarovs? Would we be calling it #Belfast4Everyone, #ScamtasticBelfast, #Belfastlivesmatter?

Hypothesis about the Makarov / Satan Crates shitstorm

@FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor I just saw you thread title "Satan Crates" -

Yea, i know what you are saying exactly and I'm not saying you are wrong but think about it, it'd bring legal consequences to a company to fully admit of their wrong-doing (or doing it intentionally) to customers, so this is the best they could do. In other words, they are trying to find a mid-way by giving a hand to us and by offering a refund. They are aware of what's going on, we are aware. What we can do now is either shake the hand and forgive but not forget (for future reference), or don't take the hand and stay upset, quit the game, etc. I think everyone needs some positivity after a long weekend
-
But they did say; "We're sorry that some of you are left disappointed by the Santa Containers this year. "
-
No, products were refundable if boxes were not opened or ships that are bought have not been played yet. And i didn't expect this because it is in a way admitting the wrong doing which can cost them customers but on the other hand admitting your mistake and saying sorry is always a virtue.
-
Well, they offer a refund which is something I didn't expect.

Owner became a billionaire and has 1750 people working for him. He can lock down the shop (or only WoWs) and turn off the servers tomorrow and care less about the revenue if he wants.

Hi, cheers and sorry for your ban. I think they just delete any comment they don't like, but straight out banning for such a sentence which is not spamming, trolling or cussing, just shows how ridiculous decisions are being made by some WG employees. They simply showed you the middle finger because of a sentence which means they are actually in a war with their player base. If that's the case, I don't think it takes a genius to know who's gonna win this war in the end. No dude. We entered in nuclear winter two years ago and won't see the sunlight again. It will just get worse in time. WG will become more authoritarian, player base quality will become even worse with more veterans leaving and more newbies joining, subs will be added, more CVs will be added, CBs and Ranked seasons will include CVs, loot boxes and Azur Lane stuff will still be for sale at a PEGI-7 platform, everything will keep being rigged.

And so what if they were on teamspeak or somewhere else?

@op, first of all posting names is against the forum rules, naming & shaming. Second of all, it is perfectly fine. They can press the start button simultaneously and end up in the same game.
