Which is true. But not everyone is trying to rank out asap. I spammed all ships in bronze league for snowflakes for instance, mostly premiums which also gave me good amount of in game resources. In silver and golden league might very well play more careful and also care more about ship selection. But trying to rank out ASAP is not my priority anymore, not since season 10. Do you think playing in random mode would be more fun than playing in upper ranks or leagues anyway?

Or 15 games or 20 games. There will be ones who will do that. Wait you need 19 stars? Then make it 25-30 games. If you think all the rewards throughout a year they seem okay. I had the same thought first but when I checked it seemed fine. In the old system we had three regular ranked seasons per year. Considering each season gave 5500 steel to a rank 1 player, same person could earn 16500 per year if he ranked out in all these seasons. Now the new system will be throughout the year and if they hold 5 seasons of it, the steel rewards will be the same amount 3300x5=16500.

Of course the numbers I gave are if one ranks out in all four sprints of a season of gold league which won’t be easy. And if one stays in bronze and keeps ranking out there in all six sprints of a season will still earn less rewards in comparison but as you wrote it is very preferential and arguable which one is better. Do you trust your skills, then rank out in gold league and earn more rewards than any other league. Bronze league in my opinion is more headache with players who have 300-400 games in total. A player can take advantage of the broken cv class to ease this noob pain in Bronze and keep repeating the sprints but that only shows he doesn’t trust his skills in golden league and is settling for less rewards in the lowest league. Another argument could be made for the shallowness of playing ranked only for the rewards as there are many players out there that have been playing regular ranked games just for the challenge and more enjoyable games (old system games between r5-r2) in comparison to random tato games.

if you check the web page about rewards, you will notice; One can rank out in Bronze league 6 times, Silver 5 and Golden League 4 times. A ranked out Golden League player will get in total 3300 Steel, 2100 Doubloons and 24K Coal. A ranked out Silver League player without passing qualifications to Golden League will receive in total 2900 Steel, 1700 Doubloons and 16K Coal. A Bronze League player who starts and remains at Bronze League will receive in total 2400 Steel, 1200 Doubloons and 6K Coal. So, players get more amounts of rewards the higher league they play. Note: These numbers are per season for new ranked system and if there will be five new ranked seasons per year keep offering the same rewards each season, the total amount of rewards in terms of steel will be equal to the total amount of steel of old ranked system per year.

Don't get a ship just to use in ranks. It is the player that makes the difference, not the ship. Besides, you say you have JB. It is one of the most decent ships out there. However, if you want to use your coal go for a ship first and since both Georgia and Thunderer are being removed, go for Thunderer. It is a T10 ship with more forgiving chars. On the other hand, Georgia is the fastest BB in the game. Totally up to taste but i'd go for Thunderer since it is a T10 BB.

Cheers All, We have around 5 hours left to get the new coupons and I am asking in this poll which ship you will be spending it for. I excluded doubloon coupon and asking for ships tier 9-10 only. I know some of you will get FDR, some Plymouth, and some want to get Somers or Georgia before they are removed I guess but let's see this in a poll. Me? I don't know. I don't have steel for FDR and won't get Plymouth or Austin, I know that. From coal ships I don't have Salem, Z-44, Yoshino and Pommern but I'm not sure about getting one. It's because I have DM which is a pretty much a Salem, Maybe Yoshino? Then, i have Azuma with similar play style (yea, i know the torps and better armor with hard hitting guns) but unsure about it. Z-44, a torp dd without a hydro. There are other similar or better torp DDs in Tier 9 than Z-44 and lacking hydro is a huge drawback, imo. Pommern, the FDG with torps but not sure about it since the secondaries will be useless once the skill rework hits servers. Waiting for a new coal ship? Not sure what will be added and when. So, i'm at the "don't know" state. Are you sure, sure about what you will be getting? If yes, which one is it and why? For instance, will you be getting the ship because you are a collector or because you'll be using it in CBs or because it will be leaving the store soon or because why not? Thanks.

The PTS player base is worse than live server random noobs and both are worse than bots, imagine, that’s the level there.

Sure just sit broad in a smoke, as many players became smoke snipers (especially Mino smoke) over the past years, it won’t be hard to delete similar boats in smoke. This ship has multiple issues not one-two.

Well you will be much easier target of potato cvs in Plymouth than in Mino every time there is a cv in the game and most of the time there is a cv in the game. Also the RoF is an issue.

@Zen71_sniper Plymouth is not a Mino with only less DPM. Plymouth is a T10 version of Belfast '43. In other words it is a Tier 10 Edinburgh with radar and smoke in different slots. It fires only AP shells, cannot stealth radar like Mino (has 9km radar vs Mino's 10km), significantly slower rate of fire than Mino, less maneuverable than Mino. no-AA, no super heal, etc. In short, if you like Mino, you may heavily dislike this ship if not hate it because having a short range radar and smoke in different slots simply don't cut the slack and all the drawbacks. Unless you're from UK or a collector, i wouldn't suggest it.

Marceau has access to defensive AA consumable which makes it a very good AA DD. It is still not as good as Halland but probably second best DD with AA along with perhaps Friesland and Smaland. On the other hand, regardless how good AA it has, a CV will hammer it whenever, wherever but considering most of the CV players are potatoes Marceau is capable of defending itself against air strikes very decently. Shortly, Marceau AA is very effective against majority of CV players and only vulnerable to small amount of skilled CV players, just like any other ship in the game.

But still, getting so many ships out of crates regardless what ships they are is some kinda mad stuff. I haven't seen such RNG before, dude is lucky af.

In general if you are good, you will do okay in any ship except here and there some roflstomps one can’t prevent alone. If you are not that good, then your best chances are the ships you enjoy playing. It doesn’t matter the class or ship.
