It gets worse on weekends. What is worse than weekends? ...Weekend evenings. Also summer is worse than other seasons. Overall, it is frustrating. At the end of a game you come to a point like "what else could i have done to win" and still lose. Some of these potato players have been here since Beta and what i personally noticed is, they usually don't read the game from minimap, or don't care about team play or a win. They only care about how much dmg they can do and how many ships they can sink. Total selfishness. They even go salty like "you biatch stole my kill"... I am really not curious how old these players are because they are just brain dead. There is nothing that can fix them. This is unfortunately a WoW fact we have to live with and hence, i think it is best try not to get upset or frustrated because of such players anymore although it is easier said than done.

So basically, you want to play close to an enemy BB (like 6km) in order to torp her but in return don't want to get your 13-35mm/13-50mm armor punished by a 381mm (11400max dmg) turret? I think that is not the idea of how to play Nurnberg. ,You can ambush enemy if you want to use your torps and not to get punished or get minimal dmg. Otherwise, you are not a torp boat, forget about getting close to an enemy BB or Cruiser in open water just to torp him. I get citadels from Nurnberg withg DDs when they are within 6-8km range. Why choose such a risky game when you can use the very good guns with 16.5Km range? Positioning is everything in paper armored ships and with good positioning those Nurnberg turrets can become a death sentence for the enemy imo.

Scharnwurst is the best T7 BB with its specifications and fun to play with it. Eugen is another Hipper which you can get through tech tree. It is more for collectors imo. I didn't hesitate buying Kutu while choosing between Kutu, Eugen and Atago for exp. But you want a German trainer, go with Scharn

My first game with Hood a month ago. Good score but a defeat...

You are right it doesn't have boost, i confused it with the defensive air perk. But the rest of the info is correct and still faster than cleveland. In fact, i just played a game with buddy (didn't play it for a long long time that's why i forgot its consumables) and one cleveland wanted to take on me. He burned me twice at 12KM range and i burned him back three times and as i got away, he couldn't shoot me anymore after 14KM. but i kept pounding him up to 16.8KM without the spotting plane. And also burned NM from 18KM with plane. This case just proves that Cleveland cannot outgun what it can't outrun, actually it can neither outgun nor outrun Budyonny and hence cleveland is a worse ship (always run away or in need of an island if she wants to survive). The only thing i don't like with Budy is its turning radius. I can start making a circle at night and by the time it completes the circle i will be ready for work in the morning.

Reply to post #154 Cleveland : 37-3=34 (it's good at close range but playing close can get you killed in cleveland, it's chance of fire or HE dmg is not better than buddy, it has much shorter range than buddy, slower speed than buddy, doesn't have better concealment, has lower citadel armor hitpoint than buddy, much slower shell velocity then buddy, overall very overrated ship)Farragut : 20 Arizona : 9Shinonome : 17 Mutsu : 19 Ryūjō (1/2/2) : 8Fusō : 15Aoba: 21Fubuki : 20Graf Spee : 24Warspite : 16Leander : 26 Molotov : 14Budyonny : 8 + 1=9 (long range -up to 19KMs- HE spamming and burning other cruisers & BBs to death , can reach up to 38-39 knots easy with flag and boost, very underrated ship) Dunkerque : 10Duca d'Aosta : 26Perth : 35

Restrict multiple clan divisions in random and reporting system
_HomTanks_ replied to BIG6969's topic in General Discussion
Firstly, WG added more options to reports like afk/away, good manners bad manners etc. The intention here is good as they are trying to distinguish the real reports from fake ones and make reporting or complimenting more functional imo. WG also wants keep the game flavored with clans and divisions. This intention is good, too. What they lack to see or find a solution is, people in the same clan or entered battle within a division can multi-report you all of a sudden (i did not experience this but it can happen). Again, i witnessed during battles people from the same clan or division write each other "let's compliment each other". Normally, they have their own divisionchat box but them thinking no one will understand if they speak their native language other than English, some people like me can catch I agree with the captain who started this post that there should be restrictions to clan and division members for reporting/complimenting. This is not fair to rest of the captains as not everyone wants to play in division or be in a clan. But it seems like WG is indirectly showing that path to the players. Secondly, I don't believe each of these reports or compliments are (or can be) tracked by WG team. For instance i have experienced multiple times that when i sink an enemy ship (especially at the beginning) the sunk captain reports me. Now, how is this fair? Who is tracking that? If world is imperfect and no need to track to make sure reporting/complimenting system works in just then, why bother with it? Then why does it even exist? There are players that stick to playing BBs only or BBs and CAs. Or CAs and DDs, or DDs and CVs. The combination can be increased but the point is many of these players only know the ship they ride on and have no clue about the others. So what is the problem here? Well, the problem is they tend to get unrealistic expectations from other players and report them for bad playing. For instance, a cv player can get easily reported because he doesn't provide air cover. Hey! CV is not your personal nanny! (and i'm not a cv player btw).Get your upgrades and captain skills right and don't yolo, or leave the flank if you don't trust your AA and get used to the enemy CVs because they are part of the game....There is also much expectations from DDs as they are the team dogs, go there, do this, do that (ordered by mostly ignorant BB players). And when they don't do as said, they get reported. How will WG prevent this? Let me answer that; they won't because they can't. It requires humongous effort that they can't afford. A personal experience, one day i started playing and this was before the last patch, i won 5-6 games in a row. No loss, wrote nothing into chat box during these games. I check my karma after almost every game. After the last win i saw i lost 12 compliments all of a sudden without receiving any "you were reported" alert...Is WG just adding or erasing players' karma randomly? If not randomly, based on what? TL: DR Reporting/complimenting is broken. It seems like it is added into game only as richness, a different flavor but it is uncalculated, unplanned, unforeseen, not promising as it is unrealistic. -
I would like to share with you some DD line opinions of mine. Probably some of you share the same thought. I have all IJN (including Kami) and Soviet DD lines along with Farragut and will get Gaede today. Played around 2000 games with DDs only (total have around 5500 games). And noticed that i (ofc beauty is in the eye of the beholder) really enjoyed playing the Soviet line. Especially after Minsk, starting with Kiev and up, it is just a pleasure for me to play. I guess that's because the Soviet DD line really fits my play style. On the other hand, IJN line is also fun to me but not the same pleasure i get from Soviet line. You play very sneaky, try not to get detected and each time make effort to calculate how you can distance-ambush the enemy player with long range torps. Mostly, you hope the player won't change their direction of sailing because they do. They do, because your teammates fire at him, or you get spotted or he just feels like changing or he is very experienced and knows the map very well. "Spotted": Let's take this word seriously. The IJN line has become not much fun or pleasure to play with many cruisers above T8 utilizing radar, enemy CV planes keep you being spotted, BB or CA planes keep you spotted from 10km, and once you are spotted (detected) you can easily get rewarded by BBs' 10KM secondaries (not even mentioning being the main target of the enemy ships' main turrets). So, do i still play IJN line? Yes. Do i still make damage? Yes. But my point is, it's not as fun as it used to be. Soviet line doesn't care about being spotted, they just burn you. They have a healing option. It beats US dd line at range and dmg at shooting (i can take a benson or fletcher with my kiev and gearing with tashkent on one to one). Let me note that i hated tashkent until i could upgrade the range with cap. skill to 15.2Km. Now it is one of my favorite ships to play for pleasure overall. If we go back to our topic of ranked season 7; Farragut seems like a good choice for teamwork with its smoke and fire power along with cap ability. Gnevny is also good but not a cap dd. Anhsan similar to Gnevny except torps. Hatsuharu is definetely not better than Fubuki. Working on Gaede now to see how it's hydro will work out although i understand it is not an effective gun boat (or not a gun boat at all?). HMS Gallant seems to beat all DDs in concealment with its 5.9 KM range. But doesn't have the best torps (8KM only). Her turret reverse speed is good but worse than Faaragut. Her speed is good but worse than Soviet line. She doesn't have the best chance of fire either. Her smoke isn't the best. So, mostly she is in the middle somewhere. I am not sure if i would buy her under these conditions. Shinonome is not better than Fubuki imho. If i compare shino to Fubuki; Fubuki also has 6.1KM detection with captain skills. So, Shino has no better concealment than Fubuki. Fubuki has 3x3 10KM ranged torps, so again i don't see Shino being a better torp boat than Fubuki either. I didn't check their armor, manevourability, etc. stats but if shino has only one additional turret, it will make almost no difference as all IJN line suck at shooting. Furthermore, it all depends on the skill of the player of shooting and kiting. Shortly, you almost never use an IJN boat as a gunboat (except you are sitting in a shima in a smoke shooting enemy ship --because of such and such reason--which still won't make a noticable dmg to T10 CAs or BBs). If you do, then you are doing it wrong. Cruiser-wise, I really enjoyed playing Buddy but I don’t have most of the other cruiser lines. I also played with La- Galissionaire but didn’t like it as much as buddy. And for BBs, I have NM which is a beast if you know how to play it and may also buy Warspite depending on the rank progress. Shortly, I can’t give you much comparison for CAs or BBs in T6 but DD-wise I will go between Farragut, Fubuki, Gnevny/Anshan and Gaede unless Gallant is buffed a little to be best at one thing (concealment of 200meters is not enough itself) instead of being all-round/mediocre at total.

Is there anything to do about false complaints? It is really unfair. In one game an enemy player complained about me for sinking him. At another one today a player accused me of having aimbot and reported me. Is WG checking these reports and gameplays? If they are not, then what is the purpose of having compliment/complain tabs in the game? I have 6 positives at the moment but it was gonna be more than +10 if there were not these false reports. By the way, what is the outcome of amount of these reports anyway? Anyone knows? Like, is there an award or punishment related to the number of positive or negative reports? Because if not, who cares right?...

I am a BB player. Specifically i played over 2000 games with US BBs. Lately i play with Colo, NC, Iowa and ARP Kongo. I also have T2-T3 German cruisers, play them seldomly. Having said all these, i received the ARP Myoko today and had two games with it, one win one loss, had a kill in each game and survived both. However, i consider myself a very noob CA player since 2000 out of 2030ish games i played BBs only. Some things i noticed with Myoko is as mostly what is discussed here. It is fast, it has 16.10KM range which is good. It didn't come with hydro search. It gives me the feeling of a mini-BB. One thing is missing which is huge to me, Heal Slot. Without it, one always has to shoot and run (unless the opponent CA or DD is not keep sailing in a straight line within your range and you wanna take a cita shot). When you get hits, there is no way to heal back. This forces the player to be not only vey cautious but also play scared of getting hit. I understand you need to angle go or run away vertical, etc. But all these will not perevent you from getting hit if you are the target even in a group. Long story short, i think this ship needs a heal slot. I don't know if other cruisers have a heal slot. If they don't have either then this should not have it either but if they do, then myoko is missing a heal slot. And yes, you cannot ask for everything, but this is not everything. This is something important that can discourage people choosing to stick with myoko or not. I don't care very much, because i am a heavy BB player but some IJN ship lovers or CA lovers may care about it. First impressions are usually correct and i only played two games with this ship. Why do you think healing slot was excluded from this ship? By the way, i hope someone doesn't come up and say "hey! a heal slot can be embedded, you have to change the module or etc...." Then, i would totally feel noob EDIT: Okay, I learned that no cruisers have heal option until late tiers. Hence, it is fine for myoko not to have it too. I figured that (and i think the idea is same with all other CAs) the idea is to shoot and run by chaning the angle in opposite to BBs where they can just go out boldly and show themselves. Anyways, I already started doing better with the myoko after 4-5 games. Saved you from replying to a post
