I think some hydro+counter torp dd or hydro+radar cruisers will diminish their gigantic 25K hp in or out of smoke rather quickly. So, to me it seems like a weak choice in competitive modes.

Right, but imagine it would take good amount of time to save 500K coal or 50K-100K steel. Only very few could play it right away, while others would have to keep grinding which will be looong. And, also WG can keep this one as a resource ship for a limited time (i.e. 1 year). So, not many people would ever get it and this would prevent the randoms from being infested with kitakamis.

Put a good steel or coal price tag on it like 30-40K steel, 500K coal or ithere will be only pink ships in coop and waiting time for random games will be doubled..

Yea, it is kinda like okhotnik with longer range torps and as in kuma shape. Sure RB works, too. For example 100K RB. But if you make this ship available for fxp, dobloons, cash or RB points, next day, we'll see 2-3 per team every other game in randoms :)

One can be best in one class or one ship and not in others, from this point of view, saying 'X' player is the best, doesn't make sense. Imo, too, there is no best player but great players as i noted in my previous post.

Just make it 30K steel or 500K coal, problem solved.

There are only some amount of players left who have been playing this game since almost the beginning, been in many cbs, ranked modes other than randoms, almost always in best clans, better than others in solo in most of the ships. He is one of them. He used to be even better until two years ago. Probably he still had the thrill back then and now lost it like most of us old timers here. There are also others who became purple thru divisions, cv spamming, or low tier op ship spamming or new ones who joined like two years ago (they are not relatively new ofc but that's i what i call new compared to old accounts). I don't count these ones among greatest players in EU server if they have a couple of thousands plus games count that are purple don't mean much to me as there are many reroll accounts or because one of the reasons above. Bama and NC are not copy ships at all but they have many similarities. Even their play styles are very different. Even their classes are different, one is South Dakota class, the other one North Carolina. Bama is more mobile can play closer due its great torp protection and rudder and it is smaller than NC, alhough it can also bow tank like NC. Bama is way better than NC and more fun. Bama fits for more aggressive play and players instead of bow tanking.

No problem. You can technically get many of these rare ships in new year's loot boxes if you purchase great amount of them and i do not suggest that :)

The "OMG You must have" premiums such as Kamikaze/Kami R/ Fujin, Gulio Cesare, Jean Bart, Smolensk, Belfast, Benham, Musashi, etc. are not available for purchase anymore and are considered rare. Exactly. This issue of excluding premiums from ranked was discussed multiple times in forums in past years, yet here we are today. They won't exclude them. It's all about money where "money > handful forumites' opinions". Simple.
