Wouldn't it be more fitting to have some kind of memorial stone placed saying " We shall never forget your sacrifice " ?

Ah ok I didn't know that, am I the only one who thinks it would be cool if we could use signal flags in battle ?

They should put more effort in luanching WoWs this project is a waste of manpower and resources that could be used on WoWs. That's my opinion on this "spinn - off" -

Okitank, on 24 February 2015 - 08:21 PM, said: It's an anime, the original was by Leiji Matsumoto and aired in 1974. In 2012 (if i remember well) they did a remake with modern animation technique, and god it's gorgeous, and better than the original (which was the greatest space opera i had ever seen). The name of the remake is Space Battleship Yamato 2199. The film from which you get the gif is beautiful to look (those CGI!!!!!! That realistic Yamato!!♥♥♥) but painful to watch when you know the anime (and even without, my parents saw it too). I'll stop the Off Topic there. Found it thanks first 3 episodes *drool* Outlawz0111, on 24 February 2015 - 03:49 PM, said: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Brown_%28GM%29 My grandfathers cousin. Thomas William Brown GM (c. 1926 – 13 February 1945) English recipient of the George Medal, and is the youngest person to have ever received that award. In October 1942, as a NAAFI canteen assistant, he was involved in the action between Petard and U-559, being one of three men to board the sinking submarine in an effort to retrieve vital documents, and was the only one of the three to survive. These documents would later lead the Bletchley Park codebreakers to crack the German Enigma code. After this heroic deed, it was revealed that he was underage to be at sea. He returned home to North Shields. In 1945 he died from injuries sustained while rescuing his sister Maureen from a house fire in South Shields whilst on leave from HMS Belfast. His family were presented with his medal by King George VI in 1945, and later presented it to the NAAFI in 1985. See my profile picture of Tommy . So your grandfather was responsible for breaking the Enigma code in Bletchley Park? How cool is that ! Technically your family is responsible for winning the war in the Atlantic -

Instead of focusing on premium ships wouldn't it be nice if you did well in the regular ships? -_- -
Dutchmul, on 23 February 2015 - 11:33 PM, said: I don't see why not, however, you would need to be flexible. You could well see that in high tier battles, 3/4/5 aircraft carriers covered by maybe 2 battleships while the rest of the force goes hunting. It will be interesting to see how tactics develop in game with regard to using and protecting aircraft carriers. If the team doesn't go like a train of fishes/lemmings on one flank this works fine. If not you are praying that your carriers sink a lot of the enemy team and that you can assist in this in your battleship (I'm totally going for this class :p ) Dutchmul, on 23 February 2015 - 11:37 PM, said: Neptunes inferno looks interesting, added it to my wish list. Also added The Battle of Midway by Craig Symonds Added that one now also on my wishlist btw +1 ^^

Because nobody wants to invest x amount Euros to make a movie about a German ship crew during WW2, here in Belgium was the serie Unsere Mutter Unsere Vätter ( German speaking friends forgive my bad German I'm still learning it ^^ ) a huge taboo. The first 2 episodes were broadcasted and then they stopped it because there were a lot of people were upset because it protrated the Germans as good people during WW2. And just 2 months back they approved the selling of the serie on DVD. So yeah for some reason the Germans are still being stigmatised. Personnally I love the country and it's people. -

And the fact that the US was capable of easy replacing their KIA'd pilots, sailors etc... and Japan just couldn't do this -
In the post about the USS Alabama they said the she was used a lot as carrier escort. So can this principle be applied to WoWS? Protecting carriers and being long range support in your battleship? I'm reading the book Neptune's Inferno on advice of WiskheyWolf ( just got it today ^^ )
