    So it should work better for now, right? Just FYI, Distance to Venus is about 80 Million kilometers at this very moment, while average distance to Venus is 170 Millions... so yeah... it actually is very very bright now!!!

    In tier 5, halfway to tier 6... I've noticed that you can make a big difference in the outcome of the game, because you are FAST, but you can not make damage with those guns, after they nerfed fire chance. I am running 73% winrate but average damage is only like 22k or so.... and with that damage, you can hold flank, you can prevent enemy destroyers from progressing, killing them, but taking out a BB or Cruiser just takes foooooreeeever, because they don't really catch fire well enough. The concealment is so bad, that most of the time you end up playing it like a cruiser, and let's face it, Cruiser has better guns, so why not just abandon the whole line and play Cruisers instead?

    MODS: Advanced Firing Training + Camouflage tier 8 Tashkent: Detection range: 9.4km (MODS:8.21km) +5.9km when shooting=14.11km vs Weaponrange 11.6km(AFT: 13.92km) = No Invisibility even with AFT, if you don't have 5th skill!!! That is baad
  4. "Nice surprise"... Well, gladly I already have values calculated there without it They have really nerfed this line to the ground. This was suppose to be all about invisifiring...., and now, at the same time USDD's like Nicholas, Farragut, Fletcher and Gearing are WAAAAAAAAYYYY superior in invisfiring... Some people speculated that what is the point of playing USDD's anymore, but to be honest, after these nerfs, what is the point of playing Soviet DD's anymore, when USDD are better in guns AND Torpedoes

    just want to say one thing, in general(little off topic admit). "Not wanting to be mean" doesn't mean anything, if you are mean after that. It's like saying "I don't mean to hit you" and then hit you in the face... Words mean nothing, if they are not backed up.
  8. True, unfortunately it does not show actual range increase in hulls information, it only shows "+1 artillery". Also, the Derpsky initial range was also changed to 8.1 and with gun upgrade 8.9.... but on top of that it increases "unknown amount" with B hull. I wish they would show how rnage changes in hull upgrades. Now it is just guessing. This +artillery happens in Dersky and Kiev. How ever, if the range really is 10.3km without AFT, I can calculate it based on that. If anyone knows how much Kiev's actual artillery range without AFT, I could add it also?

    Yes, that is exactly it. You are fast, you can prevent enemy destroyers from capping, and you are fast enough to cap yourself, which results to wins, but the damage is just very very bad, unless you use torpedoes, and you really don't want to use torpedoes, because every other game you die so fast. it is great scout, but you don't get XP from scouting EDIT: I think decreasing fire chance was a mistake. Now it takes forever to burn down a battleship. Pretty much the entire game goes to kill that one ship who sails straight lines... and you end up with one kill, against the most stupid opponent ever, who didn't even try to dodge any shots. Concealment nerf, yeah... you can work around it, if you play well, but when it doesn't really set fires well enough, there is no way around that. You just end up not making a lot of damage. I just had a game, where I kept burning battleship for 5 minutes and I managed only 9k firedamage on him... fire % nerf really destroyed this line

  11. Actually I think it is accurate. Ruddertime is Ruddershift time +30% (I don't actually know where the +30% comes from) Previous Rudder shift was 3.5s(According to Cloakingdonkey video), which equals to that 4.56s Ruddertime New Rudder Shift time is 4.4s, which equals to that 5.7s Ruddertime

    Ok, now that I have tried Gnevny in tier 5, I have to say that Izyaslav was pretty bad ship. Gnevny is very nice ship. Concealment is great. It maneuvers much better. It gets SOOooooo much better from tier 4 to 5... Sold Izyaslav, definately not a keeper, but Gnevny is a keeper(If you don't have Gremy) After some more games, I seem to get good winrates with Gnevny. Able to push flanks, help caps etc. "get results", it's just damage that is really really pathetic. I am running in 82% winrate, but average damage is abysmal 19600. These gunboats really need damagebuff, or better concealment, so that it is possible to keep firing longer. Seems like only way to make a lot of damage with Soviet DD, is to use torpedoes, which is huge huge risk, because of their pathetic range. Guns do not work really from concealment range. It can keep enemy at bay, because they are afraid of "invisible fire", but the damage is really really bad and ineffective.

    Also fixed Tiers 7-10 ship detection changes in patch 0.5.0.3. Now tiers 7-10 should show correctly as well

    I am actually suspecting that Izyaslav is the worst ship in the line. It is so slow that you can not even run from Cruisers. It also is the highest tier with small caliber guns. Gun traverse is horrible, but it helps when you "pre-rotate" them to where you are going to shoot and keep them locked with right mouse. The ship is not horrible, but it is not good. Keeping in invisirange is almost impossible, since it is between 11.56km-12.24km when using AFT, Camo and NO Concealment Expert. Invisrange being only 0.68km. How ever it is doable with Battleships, but not very well. The guns fire "ok". You can burn them quite well, My best game so far was 4 kills and 80k damage, but I also had zero damage games, when I tried to use torpedoes, so just forget the torpedoes and use guns. Conclusion: It works, but it also almost impossible to get in proper range due getting small maps in tier 4, and even then you have Cruisers actually catching you, and you can not outrun them, and even your 5km torpedoes are not going to hit Cruisers, because they can kill you before that 5km range. That said it is almost the only tactic to use against Cruisers, to run away from them in angle and try to launch torps. AP you can just forget, use fire on everything. Izyaslav is actually very good in killing Carriers, because it can get to 6.5km undetected and then it can just keep burning in 12.2km range. There is no chance for carrier to get away. Just do not even try to torp him. use fire. It also works as Destroyerkiller from close range, because of the relatively good HE guns. Will get Gnevny in just few hours, which in paper should be the best Soviet DD below tiers 9-10. It has biggest invisrange below tiers 9-10 and it is the first ship that gets 130mm guns. That said, it is not even nearly as good as Gremy. UPDATE: My final games with Izy were just horrible... I did not like this ship at all. It would be ok, if invisrange would be just a little bit longer, but now it gets detected all than time and making damage is just slow and takes long time...

    It turns out invisifiring doesn't work at all, due to hidden changes in the patch. What's the point in playing those ships anymore, when they are worst in everything?

    Okay, I think I found bug in spotting mechanics. Using Izyaslav. My Detectionrange 6.5km with camo. I was immediately being spotted from 11km+ when I fired my weapons. This happened all than time(like 5-6 times). How is that possible? All enemies were spotted and they all were over 11km distance, including their DD, he was also being spotted in over 11km, so it could not be him either. According to my calculations detectionrage should of been 9.9km, not 11. So wth? EDIT: there was no carriers in the game

    Yeah... well, then the whole line is kind of pointless... Why would I play ship, which is worse in....well... literally everything.... So glad I didn't play it any further than tier 4... Back to my BB and CV ->

    I found this: Scout Planes can find ships within 4 km and see ships up to 11 km with clear line of sight. Carrier planes can find ships within 8 km and see ships up to 11 km with clear line of sight. And in reverse, scout planes can be detected from both surface and air at 4 km range and carrier planes get detected from both surface and air at 8 km range. Does this mean that scout plane can see my DD shooting from 11km, while I can not see the scout plane?

    In the game I was, there was only one enemy DD and he was over 11km away... I have tested several games now, and it always spots from over +11.2km no matter what(Detection 6.5km)

    Detection is based on caliber of the gun, and in 102mm caliber it is +3.4km, not +4km or +4,5km. My suspicion actually is, that the guns of Izyaslav are not calculated correctly

    One question.... are ranked battles also reset in this update? Or in 0.5.1? Or when?
