I share your opinion that it makes no sense in selling tier 7 ships to new testers. I prefer a rule that players/testers shouldn't be able to get acces to a tier ship, they didn't research yet. However they have the ships and I can understand that they will want to try them out. I'm afraid we have to deal with it. I rather would have seen the topic split into two seperate topics. One with your criticism towards WG and one topic with advise to new players (without the threatening about reporting them). We all began as noobs in this game and some of us (like me) still don't perform very well. So please give the new testers some room for mistakes. -
As you are missing the point, I will state it more clearly to you : You are wrong sir. Etcar (the community manager states, so higher in rank than the others) states " What you buy in-game may be reset, but you'll always end up back with whatever package you purchased from the store' This is very clear. To my opinion it is not. You get the premium time also back. Etcar made some statement that any package you buy from the store (paid in cash) you get back after a wipe. In my opinion this includes premium time. Otherwise you get very strange situations like if you buy first tokens from the store and with the tokens you buy premium, after a wipe you get the tokens back. Why should you not get the premium time back , you bought with cash ?

From CBT to OBT there will be a wipe for sure. From OBT to Release is not sure yet, but very likely.

On high tier they were already an endagered species. I think now they will be played less on tier 6-7, WG should have statistics on this.

I Don't think the game is ready for OBT yet, But they are close. Things to be done before OBT : - Kill the aiming lead indicator mod. - Put the aiming lead indicator mod in the co-oop batles. So beginners can learn how to aim. - Develop some protection against these kind of mods. - Being able to see your batle results of previous matches (of the same session) - Put in the comanders skill acceleration for elite and premium ships - put in the camouflage for ships, and customary flags (I realy like to see, that you can sail under your clan-flag). - Some more ships. (The japanese cv's and US BB's or another nation). This will give a better posibility to evaluate the balancing the ships and the economic system on a larger scale.

I really like the Sims. It is just fitting my playstyle. However it is the most expensive of the three ships, it is in my opinion (considering my play style) the only ship that is worth the money.

Unless you ambush them around the corner of an island. Also here : know the weaknesses and what you can, or can't do with a ship. Ambushing a BB with a US DD in open wather is asking for problems. Just as bad as sailing with a BB near smoke.

If there was a buff on AAA that must be done unintentionally. In my opinion the TB are only annoying at tier 4. At Tier 5 it is far less. At tier 6 and above, I always hope that the enemy team has more CV's then our team. In my opnion the CV's at tier 6 and above were from the beginning of CBT already UP. If they nerfed them even more , nobody will play CV above tier 5. An warship game without CV's seems to me missing a whole lot. Also it will break the rock, paper scissors principle of the game. For example I find it unbelievable that my Fuso can shoot so many planes. By the principle I should have an CA escort to do that.

Good luck on hitting a torpedo. It's a small object running 50-70 knots an hour. Even if your gun elevation can manage it, the change on hitting it is almost zero. I think the developpers have better things to do. How to survive 16 torpedo's with a BB. Easy : First you see the planes in the air. You turn to the planes, where your AA is the best. if you are in time you shoot at least three of them. Only 13 left. Most of the time a TB attack crossway's. So now there is room to manouvre. So turn aso you get the least damage. If done right you only hit 2 torpedo's. So after the attack hit the R and the Y and in time you will only have lost about 10.000 HP. In the meantime you can shoot at the DD. One Good hit and he is dead. You really want to compare the main guns of a batle ship with those of a DD ? With a good hit from one of your main guns you can do about 30.000 damage. Most torpedo's don't damage above 12.000 damage (tier 5 vs tier 5). In a BB you can hit reliable at 15 KM. A torpedo launched outside 6 km range (Japanese) or 4 KM range (US) will almost always miss. In the same time that a DD needs to come in torpedo launch position aprox 2 minutes, A BB can shoot 4 times. That is more power as 20 torpedo's. Not to speak of the travel time a torpedo needs to hit the target. I don't understand this kind of whine of BB players. They like to do masive damage on an easy way. But a lot of them seems to cry like a baby when somebody else (as an other BB) broke there toy. BB's, altough they can do heavy damage, are not invincible. So don't act like they are. In wartime BB's were always escorted by other ships, because of their weaknesses.

I only tried the sims in a PVE batle. But my first impression was that it is not a bad DD. Only a bit disapointing is the low alpha damage on the torpedo's for a tier 7. What I understand from earlier posts (on other topics) is what you descripe is the dificulty that all US DD's have on higher tier. It is logical that a usual IJN DD tactic doesn't work for a US DD. The US DD is a master in killing other DD's and ambushing. Trying to kill a BB on your own in open sea is asking for a sudden death for a US DD on every tier.

What I understand is that you get also get your spent dubloons converted to gold, because the stuff you bought with the dubloons will be wiped. The statement of Brynd contradicts the statement of Etcar. Very strange !

The post from Etcar states : From that I understand that the ships you buy in the store will not be lost after a wipe. It's also logical that if you pay real money for a ship they can't take it away on release. Why should be there other rules for buying gold then for buying ships.

Everything you buy in game will be wiped. There will be a wipe after CBT. There is no announcement of a wipe after OBT. I think WG hasn't decided yet about that. Added to make things clear (as I understand it): So if you buy a ship and 3000 Doubloons from the store. You get after each wipe that ship and the 3000 Doubloons back. Even if you sell the ship for credits , after the next wipe you get the ship back and not the credits (a.k.a silver). If you use the 3000 Doubloons to buy in game a premium ship. After a wipe you get back the 3000 Doubloons and not the premium ship. After the CBT there will be a wipe. A wipe after OBT is likely but there is no an offical statement about it yet. So it is not guaranteed there will be a wipe after OBT. So be carefull about selling and buying stuff in OBT.

Of course a DD has an area denial effect. I've only heard no arguments why that is a bad thing. I've only heard that because there is a DD a BB can not get close.With the same argument you have to nerf all BB's because they have an erea denial effect for CA's. In my DD I often can not get too close to a CA. So nerf the CA. Let's play the game without weapons , then we can go anywhere. This is a game based on team play and the rock paper scissors principle. So if there is a DD, a BB needs support of a CA or DD. If there is a BB the CA needs support of a BB or DD. In my opinion nerving the DD's will lead to more hiding behind island by BB's and CA's consequently making the game less dynamic .

In my opinion your comparision between having an opinion about DD's and general moral issues as terrorism and rasicm crimes of the nazi regime is totally out of order ! I don't understand how you even come to that comparrison.

I have the New Orleans since Yesterday. Some people requested to speed up the grid, so I did. I'm not a good player. But I manage. The Cleveland I liked like everybody. I know most people don't like the pensacola but I did beter in it as the Cleveland and realy liked the ship. I read a lot of complaints about the pensacola, but none about the New Orleans. So I have to asume that I use the wrong gameplay in it. The problem I have is that the ship seems to be very vulnerable. The Maneuverability I find great. I'm I just unlucky with the ship or do I have to adjust my gameplay. Can somebody please explain me how to use the New Orleans Best. So I can more Enjoy the tier 8-10 batles (and will play them more)

Report button is annoucced, a litle bit patience please. I don't expect that it will take long before they implement it. I think customer support is already very busy with the players report. The more work they have, the sooner the posibility will be implemented. So please keep reporting.

I played today my first platoon batles. My observation was that teammembers where put far away from each other. It takes a long time to meet each other. This is certain the case when one is already on the side you want to go to. In WoT this is not problem, because you meet eachother much sooner. I would like to see platoon members start close to each other.

WG already annouced that there will be no kamikaze planes or ships in the game. In my opinion that is a good decission

Dive bombers are really devestating on ennemy carriers. Try that and you will enjoy them.
