Please note that we don't know exactly how the system works, maybe they have already taken these things into account. They have already some experience with the other WG-games. So let's see how this system works in practice. As I remember correctly we are all Beta-testers. Please don't see this as an invitation to TK (me) under the excuse of testing the TK system

You probable mean you rely on your team to support you and you be at a position where your team is able to support you. This ship is never meant to sail on her own. It is a support vessel. And as a support vessel it is outstanding.
-
You compare one value only here, that doesn't seem right to me. To compare ships you should take all vaues in account and not only the HP cause HP only tells you nothing.

I understand your point, and even your idea on using the aimbot. Please don't lower your self to their level. I'm too sick and tired of the mod and will be glad when WG will make the mod useless. At I'm not a very well player, I have the same problem as you. Not been able to counter the mod and beeing effective for the team with Ca's and BB's. So till the moment WG makes the mod useless I rarely play those at tier 5-10. But I like to troll the posible mod-users with very fast ships like the tier 6 US DD. You may not counter the really skilled players but the will drive the mod player who can only aim at the red cross nuts, because they have never learned to predict your next move. At that moment you can tell the difference between a skilled opponent and a mod user. The shots of a mod user will miss you with tens of meters. The skilled players comes close, but must be also be really lucky to hit you if you keep your distance at 9-12 km. I see it as a great practice for my BB and CA's when the mod is useless. WG has already annouced counter measures against this mod. So whithin a litle time you can see me again in my tier 10 ca to take revenge against all former mod users (and go down by the really skilled players).

Most of the time you have even ships and DD's in game. But it might be an idea to make it always even in this mode. Making a ship type unable to cap is a bad idea. You make an entire class unable to score extra xp by capping a point. Most of the time it are the DD's that makes this game. If you experience that your tactics don't work, why don't you adjust yor tactics ?

Langley's secondary batteries - something wrong or was I just unlucky?

Hit in the citadel from a friendly BB ? -
Be glad. My experience is that people don't care to cap. Loosing a batle where your team killed most ships and still looses is more frustrating. Actually I like the mode. It requires more strategy then the standard mode and you see very cleary the strong points of each class.

I understand your point that other skills are more important, But when aiming becomes that easy (with no skill required) you have more time to look at all the other things you mention. So this mod gives a double advantage, making this game where only little skill is required and a lot will be depending on RNG. I say this as beeing a very bad aimer. But I want to learn to become better. I know when I hit something, I did it my self, and not some stupid mod. In my opinion, everyone using this mod is kidding themselfs and ruining the gameplay of them self and others. So people have a litle proud in your self and stop using this mod. It is more honorfull to loose every batle, than win one batle with the help of this mod. To say that this mod is not getting you more kills is BS. We all read that this mod gets you more hits. More hits means (in short or long term) more kills. This whole story seems to me a way to talk the use of this mod right, this while everyone knows that eventuelly it will kill this game if nothing is done against it.

It doesn't make any sense Admiral.

WG isn't very clear on that. But the general interpretation is : Wipe CBT>OBT: Yes you will get the time restored, if you bought it from the store for real money. If you bought it with tokens/gold/ Doubloons, you get the gold refunded. Posible wipe during OBT or at Release : WG has stated that : Unless unforseeing events there will be no wipes. If a wipe is neccessary , it will be a soft wipe. All progress will be refunded in free xp. Bought slots will be refunded. Silver is refunded The only thing they are not sure of, is the posibillity of getting the commanders experience back. As the premium time is used to gather XP or silver, spend premium time will not be refunded after a soft wipe.

I love my Atlanta. I think it is quit well balanced. It is great in killing DD's, AA support, DD support and ambushing. Please don't mis use the beloved Atlanta in one on one batles with a tier 7 (or higher) CA or BB. She is to delicate for it.

Of course it helps a lot, other wise not so many people will use it. This mod combined with the Turret-bug and the fact that armor isn't implemented right yet, prevents me from playing more with my tier 8-10 CA's. I'm not a good player. But 3 hits from a tier 7 BB to kill a tier 10 CA isn't fun. A full repair costs me 220.000 silver so I loose about 130.000 a tier 10 game on average (with premium account).

And because of the smoke, ships will not come close. As in "area denial" If they come close, they make them self a target. Also great as in release smoke=> go in a different direction to ambush Because people will think your DD will be in the smoke and don't expect you in another place. Unfortunately this will not increase your survival chanche because you don't have any smoke left to escape after the attack.

You can already see the shell traveling time and the distance. That tool is already in place. Use the alt key to show these numbers. So there is no place for a mod like this. I hope WG will soon decide to make this mod useless. Accoording to their statement they still evaluate this mod and on the statistical numbers they will make a decision on what to do.

This again ??? Search is your friend, and you find about 100 pages of answers why and why not.

Don't you think you are jumping to conclusions with 37 games ? I don't like some playstyles too, but (un)fortunately it is everybody's right to choose their playstyle. It stays a PvP game.

In my opinion , a strickt moderation policy wouldn't cost a company a lot of income. Most people like clearity and can live with strict rules on the condition that they are clear and consistent. Imagine the situation that when you teamkill somebody, not your teammember will be killed but you. It might nothing to do with reality, but , what the hack, very litle in game is about reality. I wouldn't mind it because when I accidently TK somebody I feel already quilty as hell and some punishment is expected. You can even call it that you are relieved of your command at that moment. Imagine that the use of poisned chat will instantly gives you a chat ban for the rest of the day. The next time for two days etc. These things can all be programmed and cost litle money to maintain. The advantage is that people learn very quickly to watch out. And a lot of people will be more comfortable in playing the game, and have more fun. P.S. to be clear I seldom TK somebody and always accidently

XP is given for kills and damage, So the average XP gain tells you everything you want to know. It gives you a good view what in game the real posibilty's are instead of calculating the DPM. So let's take a look at how many BB-players are in the que and how many CV-players. The one that deals the most posibility's is often more polulair than the other.: Conclusion: there are much more BB players than CV players. The higher the tier, how less CV players there are. (That's a pitty.) Let's take a look at the batle score after the match. You will see that most of the time BB players have the highest XP score and the most kills. You almost never see a CV with more as 2 kills, while BB players with 2 kills are rather common. I know this isn't telling the whole story, but it is a sign. (WG will have more statistics on it.) However , I do know that it is no fun to play high tier with a CA. High tier with a CV, I don't even want to try. On tier 6 it is difficult enough to have good batle results with a CV, on higher tier it will be only more dificult. As I don't like playing BB's the only thing left for me on high tier is the DD's, But I heard that could be a disapointment too. We have to watch out that in time only BB's will enter the high tiers and all other players will stay at tier 5-6.

This Premium Beta stuff totally wrecked it... an advice for new players.
Blue_Bug replied to Pawndemonium's topic in General Discussion
Please don't misunderstand me. If you tried out your ship and you liked it, there is no problem at all. The point I was making (and to my opinion also one of the points of the OP) was that a tier 7 US DD (I don't have a Japanese DD) is dificult to handle for starters. The concern was that people try it out and don't have fun with it. Most starters have a problem with situation awereness, learning how exactly the controls work and how the different game modes work. When they have to work with a ship where it is more dificult to get good results it might be too much in one time. So, on my side it is not about elitish talk, It is about fun. If it works for you, please continue having fun with it. -

I don't think Jingles had new players in mind when he advertised it. I think he just judged is as a tier 7 US DD. By the way I love my Sims. I don't think there is a better DD killer at that tier. Ambushing BB's is a litle bit more difficult with the low Torpedo range and alpha damage, but the speed and manouverabillity makes up for it. But you are right with your point, that it is not a ship for beginners, some experience with US DD's is highly recommended before taking this ship out of port. -
There is an oficial statement about this : http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/8210-pre-order-packages-for-world-of-warships/page__view__findpost__p__185442__fromsearch__1
