@MannequinSkywalker Gambling is where you risk something to gain something with the chance usually large where you might not get what you want. So by spending money on a lootbox, there is a chance you will get the item. But more often than not the chance of you getting said item is slim, meaning you risk more capital for less gain, but when you gain you think you got your monies worth unless you get really lucky and win your intended prize. So he can pretend it isn't gambling, but it is regardless of whether governments describe them as so and frankly relying on politicians to tell you something is true or not is just plain idiotic really (giving their long 300+ years of utter corruption and fails.) The only reason why PEGI doesn't classify them as Gambling is so they can profit from them and so that when they are banned or classified 'officially' (because that means anything half the time) they look good and get far less slack from it. Only addicts, npc's, arses and 'we need all the money not just some people' would defend them as such. And no gambling is not limited to money otherwise, there wouldn't be thousands of examples proving otherwise.

The only ones i know that are either one par with paygambling or surpass them are bethesda, EA, Activision and maybe valve with csgo, tf2 oh and blizzard with a hint of konami too. Those tend to be the biggest and consistent offenders. My.com and gaijin either come close or surpass them (especially the former). But yeah its not as many too be fair as peeps think.
