Think it was the DPM on her secondaries that was too high combined with terrible guns, they could of made her work as one of the few supercruiser with decent secondaries, but for gone it instead. There are ways of balancing it out, such as taking a module slot. Introducing new skills etc. I still think that a 127mm secondary should fire out further than 100mm secondaries and same goes for 140mm and 152mm's but have different reloads and shell velocities as well. Maybe different accuracy's and fire chances as well.

Good point. Yeah, it never hurts to have more i guess. I always wondered why we never had these types of shells in the first place. Like you said it might help ships into a new role (georgia with light shells oh boi lol). Yeah, heavier the shell the more it acts like a BB shell and the opposite. Guess it depends whether you want your ship to be better faced against smaller targets or the fat ones at the back. Yeah the suggestion is very sensible, makes me wonder if we should have shell dyes. But we could limit it to client only (so only you would see them).

Ironically enough secondary ranges for BB's aren't historically accurate either so you may as well buff them to relevant levels for the relevant calibers, no more secondaries sharing the same range anymore.

Too be honest i wasn't talking about boycotting anyways. My point was just that if you want change protesting or boycotting are ways to do it whether they are valid is another discussion entirely. And what the clans did was more or less a protest really rather than a boycott since they still played the game just not CB's. (unless they actually did). Well yes, it's basic physics. If something is heavier than what the intended machine is usually adjusted to load, shift and move. It will be slower due to extra energy needed to shift the object in the first place, so something lighter can go through the same process a lot quicker because its easier to move it around due less mass and less energy needed to move and thus less effort and since machines are very-very consistent with speeds you can adjust them to shift the light shells even faster. True, but most players fail at using their WASD keys so that sort of thing will be at higher tier levels and even then they will figure out the best shell weight for each ship. That would only work for super-cruiser or cruisers with heavy armour and/or battlecruisers and battleships as this will allow them to abuse SHS's in general more frequently, as opposed to lighter ships. Due to how current game mechanics work anyways. I wouldn't mind seeing it implemented, but wows will never be realistic or anything more than it is already, an arcadey slow-tactical shooter.

True, but with current climate in the gaming industry the only way to get people to listen is to threaten their income, regardless of how much work they put into previous features people can and will bend over backwards to tend to various groups of people (look at the companies trying to be woke for example). Churches are also going the way of dinosaur as well. Although like you said it can terminate progress of the project itself, but that depends if people did it for adding new features or taking some away etc or just simply crashing the game/company altogether. If a company gets enough bad rep people will avoid it like the plague and won't bother. If enough people stop playing CB's entirely then they will have no choice too look into the matter and try and find out why as well and how to fix it. Regardless none of that will happen as people seldom have the will, courage, discipline and resources to see these things to the end and plans after said event has transpired. Oh well. Might as well keep suggestions going, and trying to flesh them out into well thoughtout features/mechanics, but i doubt they will listen like they listened to that CV guy.

True, but then it makes me ponder what kind of balance issues that would bring since the ships currently are based around their existing shell types only mostly or their shell types are integral to the ship itself. So if des memes got light or super light shells, her reload would not only be stupid fast, but then her shell velocity would be a lot quicker as well. Although she would lose her AP performance in-general, i don't think most people would mind that as HE tends to be the more flexible of the two types. I think for co-op and operations it would be good, they would need to test this heavily as well. Depends on the modifiers as well if they are small modifiers (0.5%-15%) then it should be fine-ish. But anything bigger than 20% and you would have to watch it carefully, incase it gets too much. Shell dyes would be a nice feature to have, i wouldn't mind seeing different shell weights but we also have to bear in mind any consequences for the new feature too.

The problem is you would only be able to take one weight shell type from Super light all the way up to Super Heavy (whether the latter didn't exist or not i have no clue but i like extremes on both ends). So you would have to pick what shell type along with what shell weight (UA:D already does this despite in closed/limited alpha atm). Ship hitboxes can easily be re-modelled or have values adjusted, physical ship models are harder to do. Don't get me wrong i do like the idea, but weegee will never implement it, unless it can give them loads of moneh.

Makes you wonder how such a basic feature wasn't coded into the games very first UI builds (between builds 5-25). Or at all really. Shows the lack of standards in the gaming industry really when basic features such as remapping controls aren't even in from the get go nevermind 5 bloody years later.
