USS Georgia Model - Man those guns are longgggg
CptBarney replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_battlecruiser_proposals i know its from wikipedia but i dont have the time to research more efficiently as i have train coming in a few mins. but yeah the later designs are what im talking about unless dont mind the olders ones coming in. -
Atlanta (VII) - shooting range 15,5 kms???
CptBarney replied to Yaskaraxx's topic in General Discussion
Damm the range on the atlanta is that small? Mind you i fight them very infrequently so i never bother to check. Maybe you had a UI bug in terms of the integers not displaying properly? Or saw a ship nearby that said 15km but there was an atlanta much closer? Can happen in the heat of battle. 13.1km. Noice time to broadside some in my queen lizzeh -

True i see your point i do like historical ships, just that if gaps need filling they shouldn’t be afraid to use made up designs (should of worded my post better xD). And yeah no P2W its one of the few games i play consistently. hmm i wonder if those french battlecruisers will ever see light? -
propose change to all Fighter aircraft
CptBarney replied to Yosha_AtaIante's topic in General Discussion
Not sure why wargaming did it the way they did, or give use controls of fighters and allow players to shoot down... actually nevermind that will cause more problems than it will solve. shame, wish cv’s had more supportive abilities and i want miss boooooogue back. -
Lots of angry forumites below. i notice how much a skilled cv player can influence the game especially, when the enemy cvs are useless and try to focus on killing you and failing or going after the wrong targets or not moving in time to escape death in general (ive even had cvs go towards the enemy which made me question what was going through their minds). now that i have over 100 battles in the ranger i can say that the rework hasnt helped players get better actually some people who were bad with cv’s seem to be doing only slightly better or worse. Which means wargaming failed to do what they accomplished. also for cv’s doing dot they seem to do a poor job of it half the time (mainly floods). Too be honest i wish they would just add supportive measures to cv’s such as dropping smoke, flares, and even some hydro boye or whatever. Doing three strikes with torps or bombers with all projectiles (in the ranger) hitting can easily rack up over 20k damage if not more with floods and fires which is kinda similar to alphas strikes but just in bits (not really possible in the ranger at tier 8 or 7 when aa becomes incredibly strong). i wish i had more experience with pre rework cv’s so i could really judge the differences between the two. But yeah for me the rework seems to have failed in most regards from taking away manual controls, to useless fighters, lack of team utility and also the ability to be a constant pain to/in any ship. something artillery in world of tanks how does. Instead of deleting you off the map in one go it just takes potshots at you while damaging modules meaning said vehicle is inherently frustrating to play against. i enjoy the arcadey controls but as per usual wargaming just rushed the whole process instead of properly testing the cv’s at all levels and their mechanics while also taking advice from skilled players and even average players on regards to how they perform what they could add take away etc. oh well, ill just wait to see if yorkie will be bad or not.

I seriously doubt since wargaming will screw up in someother way. Either way i prefer ships to be balanced and could careless whether they are fictional or not and they can simply use existing ships as bench marks of what to and not to do when making brand new ships. For design again they can take bits from other ships change them around innovate them then slap them on to new ships. In game design fun>balance>everything else. At least thats what i've been taught so far. Also they can make the models less poly intense and so gives our pc's more time calculate other things. -
French cruisers and oddly similar to french tanks (amx 50 100 line) both excel at the mid to late game when you can focus on 1v1 duels without getting blapped by everyship in the game. Dodging and kiting are the greatest strengths of this ship and you should use it often to attack dd’s and bb’s i played bad in both games of my charles martel today but thats because i dont play a lot, but its still a sound ship from tier 5 you basically kite angle and dodge shells which allows you to hold a flank suprisingly well. The reason why its better against the other two classes is due to the former not having the firepower and hp to withstand your shells and hp pool and the latter due to not having enough dpm and accuracy to consistently hit you and kill you. the martel can rekt cruisers like the algerie and la galissionaire but thats usually the cruiser with dpm than itself.

The battleship designs for all of those nations would be interesting even if they are fictional hope wargaming experiments with different turret and gun layouts. but yeah i also agree was suprised to see the russians first before the italians but oh well.

buff midways flooding chance and torp damage
CptBarney replied to Mr_Snoww's topic in General Discussion
Pls buff ranger. kthxbye. -
I dont mind if they fill the tech tree with fictional ships, actually wouldnt mind seeing a non-aligned tech tree in the game with some random flag. But id rather have the italians in the game first they should of been here after the germans or brits (which ever was the last out of the two). oh well.

Possible solution to balancing CVs for everybody

This kinda reminds me of armoured warfare (pretty much dead now) with their arty in how if you fired a shot you would get pinged on the map do it two more times snd your spotted regardless of location for 10-15secs i think it was. how you would do this in wows is beyond me since i have no clue how you could go about it. i dont believe forcing players above 55% wr to be spotted permeantly is a good idea since this will discourage better players from trying or playing cvs in general. Especially since the other cv player has a worse winrate could just continuously farm damage and kill the cv since the enemy cv has to actually find where the enemy cv is first then strike. so me as a 53% wr player could just focus the enemy cv then i get free reign over the skys and can even focus more on spotting dds for my team and strike without worrying about covering teammates. not really a good idea at all, but nice try. -
Algerie, i dont think people realise how good of a cruiser it is at tier 7. sure it does better mid-late game but still a viable ships especially with those 203mm's

Tier 4. Hosho (Pre-rework) (soo much better to get away and also prefered torps over db's before the re-work). Tier 5. Miss booooogue (First ship i played that broke the 100k damage barrier for me). Tier 6. Ranger (Post Re-work) managed to break the 150k mark several times, i do like the ship but the lack of projectiles especially for torps is annoying. Never got past tier 6 pre rework with the independance.

ew, id rather not use HE in my lizzy because its AP is so good most of the time (fat gunz), not sure what wargaming were smoking when they made that mission but then they did just nerf the furious for no reason

Public Test: Furios Nerf / Buff + Azuma
CptBarney replied to anonym_cwVecOS6ecVy's topic in General Discussion
nice so the furious gets its only redeeming feature nerfed just for the Medium/heavy bombers to drop a few more bombs. Lol, how sad. im not even going to bother wasting the florins on that. -
T2 - none (dont really mind which one too be honest) T3 - V-160 T4 - Isokaze T5 - Havent played enoug yet T6 - Gaede T7 - Maaaaaass T8 - none T9 - none T10 - none

Giulio Cesare stays as it is + balance of other premiums
CptBarney replied to anonym_cwVecOS6ecVy's topic in General Discussion
Lol so its like the super persh nerf, but instead of it occuring they actually went back on it. i still have little faith in this company but whatever at least they did something ok i guess. They should of simply nerfed some stats on it and thats it. -
Also making the economy like world of tanks would not only drive players away who are casual (such as my self dont have the time to play more than 2,1/2hrs per day) but also force said players down to mid-lower tiers (and even give them an excuse) just to grind for credits if they for whatever reason don't have premium ships or camos or both. Like some of the above have pointed out making the economy harsher will only slow down the progress of bad players not remove it entirely. Also not everyone plays random or ranked some people only play co-op and operations, although im not sure how the economy works there in general. Which means bad players can bypass randoms altogether and just climb to tier 10 without playing against other players at all. The problem isnt the economy it's the lack of insentive to do well and also lack of in-game knowledge to teach people and rewarding them when they do so.

They did, due to it doing too much damage or whatever. since i dont own one nor face one except once in a blue moon i cant say at all whether this is true or not.
