True, didnt the old system work via various calculations such a plane type, hp, tier, aa guns and maybe type as well and speed? From what i remember AA in the old system either didnt work, worked or shredded (basically deleting entire squads). and oh my god do not use an ipad to edit posts. Took me four sodding tries just to do so. @mtm78 speaking of dd’s since your pretty gud with dem, which dd’s are generally good for gunboating? im pretty shite with torps so prefer something more consistent. Oh and i havent played dd’s for ages so any toineh boutes i can lick up to learn quicker and better is very much appreciated.

Oh...um. whoops. ill have to revert my post. Sorry about that but trying to draw character bodys with perfect proportions is driving me nuts. my recent games in midway have been bad but then thats because shes my first cv (this is incase anyone asks) at tier 10. Plus my first tier 10 ship.

wwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Thonks. Yeah midway is my first tier 10 and i never got past tier 6 in rts cv's so yeah, still got some stock planes and don't have the last or third module upgrades yet. My stats in lexi were kinda similar in the first 10-20 games then started to pick up a lot. I can't seem to win with ryujo been struggling on how to do that, but i find doing damage reasonable. Yeah i sold ranger so i wouldn't bugger her stats up lmao. Managed to get her from 58%-60 again took awhile lol. but misss hoshoooooo! I love the ship, i should play jean bart more and monarch plus lyon (ill get 150 games for the other two and 250+ for jeany). Yeah im suprised as well i kind you not i went from 59.05% to 54.54% and have been trying to climb back ever since (from around 170 games or so lol). I should probs get queen lizzy again and try to get her winrate back up past 50 at least. Leander and fiji need work and i need to work on meh pr for my top tier cruisers.

Well the rework was about increasing cv pop, but that failed. Whether AA should deplane a squad completely? Dunno i cant answer that. Subs will most likely be a fail but UA:D will be out so i probs won't even be playing by then.

Should we buff them back to similar performance like in 0.8.0?

It also empthesises that below avg players can keep chucking planes at you and chip away your HP, either killing you or forcing you to have a boring game. And it isnt even the case that manticore kept him busy the cv busied himself with manticores JB instead of going after something else ( @mantiscore do have a better discription of what happend during the match? could help us understand why the cv just focused you after killing both the DD and cruiser that was with you). Most CV's you meet won't even be good, and so they fail to understand most of the mechanics. When good players in cv's start showing up then well...unless they mess up themselves or it's a royal navy cv then r.i.p. Yes AA kills planes but it doesn't prevent strikes and thats clearly what some people (maybe most) want. Also DD's can still be striked even with HVAR's which have some of the worst handling and aim time out of all the rockets and yet shima turning AA off and other numerous DD's turning AA off does nothing if the player is competent and above.

Drives me up the bloody wall when that happens especially in my georgia, couldn't even push D because our DD's refused to spot theirs (we had more stealthy dd's) and they had 3 hovering around the bloody cap spamming torps. Yeah we lost that game. Oh well.

Sounds like a bad CV too be honest, if me, @Yoshanai or @El2aZeR got a hold of you then. well... oh dear But yeah countering cv's basically means just delaying the inevitable rather than any hard counters in general. Im still learning with miss midway, and yes you can mitigate the damage done by a CV, but you can only do soo much. I bet the shima, kitakaze and mino all had fun while i bombed them to death with midway (stock torpedo and rocketfighters as well).

noice. now see how you do in miss lexi! 'w' Best game damage wise in midway. Our BB's decided to be useless at A and just not bother pushing except for the soyaz who ended up dying. I gave up halfway through the game when 5 ships died in like 6 mins.

Do both if you can, but if there are a lot of bb's and the cv makes a drop you might have to bear it otherwise you will most likely get deleted. Obviously depends on your ship the cv and plane type. But yeah if a cv wants you ded and they are a gud cv then r.i.p Ironically most bb's have better AA than their AA cruiser or just regular cruiser counterparts. I guess at least subs might help detract cv's from hunting you for a bit.

Thats because sitting at the back doing nothing makes you useless in general, your not tanking or not flanking nor are you supporting. If you want to lob shells then do it in ultimate admiral dreadnought (good game regardless), yes its alpha but still very decent for an alpha. BB guns arent accurate they are so so. And if cruisers starts dodging unless you predict right hitting them becomes very difficult even with the more accurate BB's (like georgia). I hope i never meet you on my team.

What made him decide to play the match out the way he did? from those stats i would assume we would be damage farming but he did the opposite.

I wouldn't mind if all special commanders had their skills chosen by individual players and at what percentages (up to a limit so if you go high on one the others would be really low or you get negatives to balance the commander out). Also skill rework is badly needed in this game.
