Midway's focus is her bombers and i guess rockets to a degree, torps are alright but need a good amount of distance to allow them to not fly everywhere. Obviously slingshotting and shortening comes into play here. You can use bombers for dd's so your not just stuck with rockets for that. Although i heard audacious isn't that bad midway is just a better choice overall.
-
Midway shes more consistent and has better alpha, plus better regen rates. Haku would be good if your good enough with CV's due to AP bombs (good at deleting cruisers).
-
Well, i probs wont be able to complete it, i do have ships from some nations and i can credit grind the ships i need from the other nations (ill just do them in co-op only). only 1 tier ten, but it seems like i might have to get smolensk for the cruiser missions.
-
Or ensk and bigensk when they come since reddit managed to create them for wargaming xD
-
@El2aZeR we found him! see the guy talking about how he came up with the reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewurk.
-
Id rather not have el2azer instant transmissioning all over the bloody place with 300knot plus planes/jets lol. bad enuff is waifu is op here and in the anime and said game related to said anime.

So, if i were to design some heavy cruiser with 35 bow and aft (hold on bois) with 230mm belt (kinda small belt) and with 180mm 4x3 turrets that are dual purpose, with like 30 other AA mounts how much con dps would it need to actually to create a literal no fly zone? or just how much con dps would be needed for that in general?
-
What is the best AA premium ship available to buy?
CptBarney replied to 22cm's topic in General Discussion
Jean bart or georgia as they are the only ones with some kind of credible AA, plus georgia gets fighter plane as well. bear in mind not a single ship can prevent the player from striking in general just depends how competent they are in general and consistent with a sprinkle of rng. -
I havent been paying attenttion much thanks to uni lol. But thats good i guess will give me an excuse to play french dds and maybe someother dd line as well.
-
Come on ladz only 13 moar pages to go. @El2aZeR Never knew there were CV missions lol.
-
Well its not really to fix cv's but just add another way of playing them, like i said i doubt it would work however mostly down to complexity, balance and player rentention just more or less me dreaming lol. True, i keep forgetting that because i frequent from this forum to the UA:D's forum half the time, so i go into idea mode there and bring some ideas to here lol. But yeah thats why i prefer the old system, but even with that system it was broken due to how CV's function in general. Although counterplay (i think from my limited memory) was actually a thing back then. Oh well i tried lol.
-
Lots of things you could do for support actually, smoke, putting out fires, drop hydro boyes, dedicated fighter squads and also limited strike capabilities so maybe rockets and torps or something or strafing runs against ships. although support CV's would defo need damage capabilities. Guess you need to link them up with another support cv like how it is now and/or a strike cv (so Strike CV and then support CV). But i doubt that will work honestly, as much as i would like it too. Dunno about radar planes or planes dropping aluminum sheets to defeat radar and maybe fire bombs or whatever.

Problem is human nature prevents any one group of people agreeing on most things (nevermind somethings) for any long period of time (which can be good or bad depending on what it is). It's just that, the problem with CV's is that they aren't OP but broken. So giving an example would be the WTF E100 which was known for its ability to quite litterally delete any tank it saw (including the heavily armoured and tanky maus) from the field (obviously if you bounce one shot then you wouldn't but most tanks would be dead after 4-5 shots anyways per the 6 round clip). However despite this, it has an insane reload (as in long as hell reload) huge arse paper turret, very well armoured hull and ok camo rating, plus kinda gud mobility. This made the WTF E100 so broken due to that everything about the vehicles was balanced by extremes and extremes only highly accurate devestating gun that can remove any tank in the game, with a massive reload, massive paper turret, well armoured hull, decent mobility, ok camo rating and insane reload per shot (2 secs between each shot). Arty also being another example of a broken design but similar to CV's in that they do not act in the same way as any other vehicle class in the game (i mean you could dodge them, but high rng from arties plus no warning or info of where and when the shot landed made that more like guess work half the time than a certainty). CV's are essentially like arty but more extreme, able to spot for themselves and others attack ships anywhere on the map regardless of distance or cover and covey on multiple angles without physically being there (obviously it's more complex than that but no other class or even ship that isn't an arty i know can do this). I don't mind CV's but frankly i would like team elements and the more strategic gameplay elements from the previous iteration put back forward. But then this is my opinion and my message will never see the light of day. Sad because i really REALLY wanted to have muh waifu yorkie in game but i guess thats a pipedream. OP basically means the ability to perform well with a certain item/vehicle with only some/little/no effort required from the player themselves and is also marginally better than its peers (considerably). Broken in game terms is when a mechanic/item/vehicle performs in such extreme ways or has to perform differently completely, to the rest of the inventory to make it work. That it fundementally ruins the current mechanics/items/vehicles already in said game. Also doesn't mean that it will be OP since OP stuff usually increases the stats of anyone playing it (see object 268 version 4) by a considerable amount. Something broken could do this but still requires effort on the player to even do that however once, they figure it out abusing said mechanics becomes easy. Sorry for the essay lol.

Nah high sigma means smaller shell groupings so basically how often the shells with land on the centre while actual dispersion represents how big the elipse will be at max range then gets smaller depending on which nation your playing as and other little minor variations. so a sigma of 2.4 and a max dispersion of 200m's would make that ship highly accurate. Sigma of 2.0 and dispersion of 300m's would mean the shells would fall closer to the centre but horizontal and vertical dispersion will be trash so, will be semi consistent. Also different formulas are applied for different nations and ship types. https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Gunnery_and_Aiming#Sigma
-
im guessing the very last part is sarcasm? as 2.0 sigma is incredibly good for a bb. btw germans are still inaccurate as hell but are somewhat more consistent close up now. so long-mid range shots will still be a pain. oh well.

What the error in Jingles bonuscode(s) yesterday painfully showed

You forget armoured warfare and mwo, which have events that give out free stuff and also events that you can you play in and the requirements are very straight forward (still time-gated which im not a fan of regardless)so aren't stressful. And Warframe that also have events as well and you can essentially play for free like runescape using the in-game. Plus they give you the premium currency in many of these rewards and slash hero mechs by 50% so its even easier to get them. Also trento and jaguar are silver ships so they don't count. The ships i have from almost 1 year of playing are the following. Perth - Supercontainer. Georgia - Long amounts of coal grinding. Jean bart - Gifted. Texas - Mission based. (Smolensk/Thunderer Depending which ship i want too be honest). Which i guess is not bad too be honest, im surprised we don't get marathons for tier 8 premiums too be honest (really wanted de grasse, but perth is a very noice ship indeed). But eh not sure if world of tanks even does that anymore. Nice collection btw, what is gascogne like in general? -
oh is dat the christmas raffle thingy? i loike dat, pls make. and barney will make sure the gifts are taken given to everyone lol. but i liked it the last two years so hope its one again this year.

Maybe borodino when she arrives.

What the error in Jingles bonuscode(s) yesterday painfully showed

Been like this since world of tanks essentially, as the EU server has been meme'd as a cashcow server and nothing more half the time (seems to be correct most of the time). It's funny cus i appreciate the free stuff, when its actually beyond a few flags or 1 days of prem more than other games that give more half the time. Oh well. -

I agree wholeheartedly im not expecting super stalingrad painted red to just ninja itself in my port (lol), but having the occasional cool reward maybe every year or so and some other stuff thrown in would be nice. i appreciate some of the stuff they do, i cant compare to gaijin but i think wargaming maybe more generous, however compared to companies like pgi they are no where near (ive recieved 4 premiums alone for nothing, as well as mc for nothing and even doing events which are easy to complete and easily do-able plus ive gotten 6 premium mechs from those rewards alone lol ranging from my battlemaster and zeus premiums to my javelin and sunspider mechs.) like i said i dont expect super georgia or belfast or something to appear in my port for doing nothing or playing for a long period of time but something would be nice. -
SHes basically a battlecruiser, essentially shes more unique than most of the russian bb line in general. borodino will be the same too be honest.
-
Well that sucks, this little event has permanently cemented in my mind that i will never spend a single peeny on any wargaming product (i hadn’t for 2 years but was thinking of geting prem time to do some cred grinding, guess i wont bother with that). Oh well, better luck next time.
-
Guess ill try again for third time (lol) after work.
-
Am genuinely confused, does the saltmines code only gove the jingles mission and nothing else? Or do you have to complete the mission to get warspite and credits?
-
Hopefully its nice too get free stuff once in awhile, kinda wish it was mwo friendly, but i guess that would be a lot of samey ships. Oh well gotta get ready for gulag duty.
