Well.. often sinking that closest ship is your most immediate concern, but it shouldn't distract you from overall objectives.

A very balanced view, if I may say so. Whereas I bring a mitigating factor to the table, my own subpowers. I balance the teamplay, so I should really be called the Equalizer.

It's just that the 15 km range seems like the optimal range considering many maps. I don't know, but I assume that aside from caliber considerations, ships with a longer maximum range should also have a better pen when going over the 15 km range.

Which then means, that if you want to play smart, you only pick the strongest ships per tier/class you got. That's a huge downside, because I've always appreciated the opportunity to grind the midtiers in ops instead of randoms.

Seems to be that way. The composition makes no difference, I've seen a screenshot on ASIA thread on this, and with BB's and cruisers only the bots still started going east.

A quick thought, does the MM consider individual ships at all, meaning relative strengths and weaknesses like we see those numerical values in port, or does MM just 'see' the tiers and classes?

Perhaps we should ask for the forum rules to be revised? Everyone only reading and responding to their own posts, not anyone else's. That way we could all avoid any awkward misunderstandings, or miscommunications.
