whats yours most valuable emblem and most design cool

Valuable? Will have to think a bit. But for starters this one here is the one I value the most, and use it most regularly these days. Technically speaking, it is of course not an emblem per se (perse for our Finnish friends, as I've been informed that is the preferred spelling over there), but a symbol. As for the actual emblems, probably these ones here.
  2. Okay... here is my haul, 30 certificates from tier X ships got me 6 awesome MEGA containers.... Quite impressive isn't it? I mean the hole that obviously had to be in my stocking. (Not that kind of stocking I know this crowd well enough to know what some of you were thinking...) In fact it is so impressive maybe I'll just skip the trouble next holiday season.

    Multiple accounts to break rules

Yes, well if there are multiple jurisdictions involved it will probably get very complicated. This probably only is an issue for online activity, because in almost every other case the parties would share the same jurisdiction. As you say, even in a single jurisdiction the merits of each case would be determined independently and how any judge sees the matter may also differ. Then you can have the appeals and so on. Obviously then we are not talking about the sort of insults you might run into in a conversation at the pub.

The EU law, I think, mostly deals with political and corporate entities. The EU directives for consumer law, for instance, will need to separately legislated by each member country.

    Multiple accounts to break rules

Fair enough, if I'm writing in English I tend to go by what those terms mean in English. In different countries, what counts as defamation may be interpreted differently. Do we know what jurisdiction WG is under?
  6. As always when WG introduces any sort of changes to the game, I make a point of not expecting anything to actually improve. Helps me to avoid getting disappointed over and over again.

Note how you said "and lie". This looks like defamation to me.

    Multiple accounts to break rules

I've never heard of anyone being successfully sued for insulting someone in the US.

Either you are all very well behaved or the courts must be awfully busy in your country.

Wow that's one strict place. Sounds like beneath hell to me.

F***king Gsus mate... Are you perhaps an exceptionally adroit assistant for a professional knife thrower as you are so skilled at dodging every point? I leave you to figure out under which category that falls under. No hurry, take your time. And then some.

Something tells me that law is intended to cover something else than calling a person a 'bleeding t**t'.

That is defamation (if untrue), not insult...

    Multiple accounts to break rules

Yes, I know this one. However, this is a different distinction. There still has to be at least a finable offense or grounds for a criminal investigation. It will only get into prosecution if the victim lodges the complaint. Typically these are less serious cases of assault and battery or domestic violence. Not insults, in other words.

    Submarine Emblems

Why? Surely no one can see them if they are underwater.

Look, mate. I try to put this as simply to you as I can. If it makes you feel bad, upset, or you think somebody said something that you think wasn't very nice, it's an insult. And no, I doubt very much that in most countries you will get a police investigation or your day in court over that.

    Multiple accounts to break rules

No... lies make it defamation, not insult. You need to figure out what 'insult' means. https://www.minclaw.com/difference-defamation-insult/

    Multiple accounts to break rules

First, I believe that while different jurisdictions may have different laws and so on, I think one universal truth that holds is that police will only investigate prosecutable offenses, not civil cases. Anyone is free to sue, of course, but you need a lawyer for that and a court, not the police. Secondly, in those cases I don't know if they felt insulted or not, but that was not what their case was based on.

Had to google that... look at it quickly... that 'libel' case was wrong on so many levels. I'm surprised it ever went to court... Well, if someone has too much money they are free to spend it frivolously. Again, though, this of course has nothing to do with insults.

Those are not insults.. look at the goalposts go.... (<--- note the skilful use of the infamous 'Colonel dots'.) Sure.. they will file it.

Not all countries have such lavishly funded police departments. Nor would all countries want their police to poke their noses in people's private affairs.
  24. Karasu_Browarszky

    Multiple accounts to break rules

Well, yes but the point I was trying to make with the colonel earlier is that how easy do you think it will be to get the police investigate an 'alleged case of insulting'?

    Multiple accounts to break rules

Unless I'm mistaken, the map shows insults as 'legal' in countries marked with grey, and that includes both the US and UK. Furthermore, going over the explanations, to me it seems some of them mix up insults with defamation, libel and slander.
