Whatever the reason was yesterday, it didn't happen today. The game took me to the Glory port after team selection and returned me there after battle.

I've decided to pick the team with normal difficulty. I tend to spend most of my time in the hammock...

In that case, unless you are really you intend to grind that line all the way up to tier X, it's a somewhat risky purchase. Mind you, if you somehow manage to get thru tiers 8 and 9, it's worth it IMO. Though you still have to contend with those pesky fire breathing monsters....

Am I the only that thinks it's a little daft to get a Yamato camo and a booster for IJN BB's in the same bundle...

There does not seem to be any direct information on that. All it says is ' Players with access to combat missions and challenges according to the level of their Service Record will be able to participate in the competition. Beginners will have to play 70 battles in any available modes to unlock access. ' Do you mean that in port you don't see the Banner in top left above the Premium shop? Did the game ask you when you logged in which team you wanted to join?

I started with Team Honor today. I'm not sure what would be the best tactic for me, I'm tempted to choose the underdog.. so I might play for the other team come tomorrow...

Odd... I picked team Honor today, and ended up in some Honor port where a) global warming had progressed so far that ocean was now all they way to Mount Rushmore, and b) The Soviets had apparently defeated the USA and erased the four old dudes and splattered Soviet seamen all over the rock... but then after one battle it got automatically switched to Naval base...

Based on some of the comments, I'm now starting to hope it really had been the Titanic....

The real issue is not whether the Yamato would not benefit from a (full) secondary build, IMO, but the fact you are allocating points towards that build and/or selecting upgrades at a cost to your primary role in battle. What exactly is supposed to be her primary role I can't really say, because with carriers in battle things get complicated. Partially some aspects of secondary build (BFT and AFT) will also benefit your AA capabilities. Well, I know for a fact that Kronstadt can be penned and decimated even when she is bow on towards a high tier BB. And no.. I was not the one playing the Kronny but the one who got to sank her.

Uhm, yes. IMHO they only start to get somewhat better with the Zao.

Well.. this could be an improvement over the current state of the game. Right now I think they should call the game World of Island Fetishists.

Technically speaking, I suppose there could be two tier 10 BB's in the game, the Yamato and the Musashi. Of course, as this is not strictly speaking a game that is tied to any specific war era but is more of a general gun battle era approach, they could have made post WW2 refitted Iowa class BB's also tier 10, possibly also HMS Vanguard but all the other navies would have been restricted to tiers below tier 10. What actually surprises me is how they needed fantasy ships to fill up RN battleship line. That is somewhat... embarrassing.

I'm not sure the tech trees absolutely need to be complete in that sense, though I grant you that the historically bigger navies would then get a much bigger representation in the game if it weren't for these paper/fantasy designs.

The Mikasa, too (though they would be completely useless). All my BB's and other ships are missing gunnery controls and optics. That's a far bigger issue IMO. WG! Where do you keep my gunnery thingies! Where! (And where do you keep Austrian ships, no Austrian tech tree in the game either.)

I wish they would introduce rum rations. Would be nice to have those in Clan treasury.
