Agreed. I have got something like two to three SC's this year, and all of them been like a very small bundle of flags or stuff. They need to rename them Super Disappointment Containers.

Yes, they do. The TYL containers are the ones that supposedly have a better chance, but, overall the RNG is so bad that in the long run you end up losing too many resources if you try to pick only TYL's, IMHO.

I would choose roughly the same for the first 10 points. It gets more complicated after that, though. With 19 pts you can choose one to three 4 pt skills but the more you choose (and which) the less you will have to spend elsewhere. So what is the deciding factor? Main battery range? -

Well, it's just that the 4 points spent on CE on a BB are always the hardest for me personally to justify. I always equip the module from tier 8 upwards, though, as it brings added benefits. Full concealment seems to work for some and in some situations. I notice this at times when those huge BB which keep their distance (meaning snipe from the baseline) seem to blink in and out of view. They usually blink out just when I get my guns trained on them and fully loaded for firing a salvo... -

Just two buts.. you can still be spotted early on by the CV, also there are several ships, especially all the DD's and and even some cruisers that you won't see before they see you (being mostly a BB/DD player I can tell you being outspotted by an unspotted DD can get you back to port quickly). If you can sneak up on a cruiser or another BB you can really surprise them, I get that, but how often does that happen to make it worth 4 pts? -
Let me tell ye of the olde times when the super containers really were super. They dropped a lot more often and actually contained a lot of cool things that were.. well... super. Then WG quickly realized their mistake and fixed them (READ nerfed them hard and reduced the drop rate drastically).

What puzzles me is just how much do you get out of the 4 pts spent on Concealment Expert if the ship really is meant for brawling and charging the enemy battle line? -

I often wonder what is the sensible tactic. I assume DD's should be out front or 'on the outside' to spot and screen. BB's should be behind that screen as should CV's. But what about the cruisers? If they are closer than BB's they become easy targets themselves. -

Fires are always a problem for me, but with the Soviet BB's the relatively short range + concealment is a difficult combination. The biggest oddity IMO are the secondaries which I found a little disappointing, at least on the Vladivostok. Then again, I quite liked the Petr Veliki.- 145 replies

IMO too you need at least 10 km range with 10-12 being perhaps optimal. I don't run the maximum 20km range some configurations would allow for on any of my torpedo build DD's. I have tried out the 8km torps myself, with rather poor results. They may work in a knife fight or possibly when the enemy ships are headed in your direction (in which case you can fire them while your target is still outside their maximum range). -

Got it, thanks. I am also looking for reviews and they are not encouraging... One of the concerns I have are the 8km torpedoes only. I have tried out those torps in my Shima with very very negative results. -

Thinking about the Lazo, not really a fan of cruisers but the flat arcs are something that I am a fan of. Additionally, I made an 'Excellent choice' picking up the wacky camo for Vlad. Curiously, I really can pick the best offerings from the Armory as I've never ever made anything but 'excellent choices'! -

These were some of the best operations we used to have. The only thing that would even come close would be an operation for either Mikasa or Yamato. BTW, we are almost at the end of the Heisei era moving into the Reiwa era very very soon. -
