If that thing will be available in a grossly overpriced bundle with the Victory Banner camo... I'll buy! -
review Lenin Review – a good ship in a questionable meta?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Hayashio's topic in General Discussion
Can't confirm but with the most expensive bundle you get both the Victory Banner and regular premium camo. Both have the same stats, so regardless 5000 is a tier X price for a tier 8 camo. Hope you know you can get the same camo for the Vladivostok for 500 tokens. It is said that the two ships are similar, different turret layout and armor scheme, the same guns but they use different shells so no idea if one or the other has better penetration values. Interestingly, regular tier 8 camo for the Vlad costs 3000 doubloons... and if the Victory Banner marked up cost is 5000 doubloon, correlating that with the 500 token price in Armory would make the Lazo cost the equivalent of 15000 doubloons. Hmm... @OP Thanks for the review! -

Naval Legends: Sovetsky Soyuz

Well.. they did mention something about execution squads.. they knew how to motivate people. And at least the boss was working too and not just sipping martinis at the club and playing golf. The longest recorded hit was 24 km? Didn't know that.. cheers! I guess the WG is not that far from the reality when they have capped the max ranges around that figure after all. -
Naval Legends: Sovetsky Soyuz

In hindsight, they probably should have called this episode 'Project 21' or something, highlighting the Soviet battleship program then it would have tied in a lot better with naval history. I think the 40+ km range is pretty standard for this sort of BB calibers. No idea how accurate those would have been in reality. I think the SS (they will love that moniker!) is tier 9, not 10. Tier 10 is the 'Kreml' (should have obviously been Leonid Brezhnev!) -
Naval Legends: Sovetsky Soyuz

It probably will be in the Armada when released. Mind you, not every episode of the Naval Legends deals with an actual ship. The fact that WG wants to highlight a ship design that, if ever completed, probably would have something special does not upset me much. What I mostly don't like is the prevalence of paper-only ships in the game. But I can live with this as long as their performance remains within set parameters. -

So much salt I think we can spare a pinch. As this ship was never launched, never sailed or never thought a battle it's no legend like the Mikasa and others, but that does not mean it doesn't have a story to tell. Basically, it got delayed and in the mean time BB's got obsolete as capital ships (sadly). It might have had a useful career if ever built much like the US Iowa class ships did. Also... how many real BB's are there at tier 9?... Three, if I am right. -

Vlad seems situational. Depending on MM, tier, team... Can be great if top tier, can survive and win with the team in a tier X battle too. -

Think of your DD as a mouse, BB's as elephants, CV's as nasty birds of prey, and cruisers as cats on the prowl. Pro tip: there is no free cheese.

Imperialist! Well, yes. On one ship I can live with it (Vlad), it's a little on the tacky side to be honest... but it makes me feel special, in the same way when mum says 'Oh, Bumpkin, you're special!'. -

Ah, okay. Thanks, I just wonder why there is no info in the official release on this. Nelson would be 'free', in a sense, but a tier 7 (not sure if that is a plus or not). I wonder which is the better ship (well, no I don't really) and how good is this sort of layout in WoWS in general. -

My isn't that Flamu and his Moskva. I have fond memories of this ship which I once got to sink in my Misuri. -
Better than a half-Nelson on tier IV.

Oo Komrade Lenin (where is komrade Cat?) I'm not sure if I want a Soviet Nelson, but anything's better than a Soviet Royal Sovereign cause I want to be able to have turret rotation in battle. Any idea about the camo? The most expensive bundle seems to have that wacky camo but does it only have that? The cheaper bundles have the more realistic camo.
