Interesting, as wind speed is not a factor in either battleships game or necessarily in model building either. IIRC when I played submarines were one block only. There is almost too much stuff in that port to figure out what is relevant.

    I pointed out in the other thread that ë is not really a letter, and the reason why й is not there is very probably to avoid confusion when calling out the letters. Funny, 'ezhzik' looks much like 'ezhik', the russian word for hedgehog.

    BTW, I don't think the russian ë is really part of the alphabet, as that letter is not usually used in written Russian apart from language textbooks.

    Oddly, BTW, they have misspelled Fabergé. It is not 'Faberzhe' unless you transliterate that directly from Russian, but nobody AFAIK never actually uses such a spelling.

    The settings seem completely random and rubbish. Sometimes the radio messages come through clearly, sometimes they are all muted with the same settings. Guns and horns are violently loud over anything else.

    Hmm about the book. One traditional method of sending coded messages is using two identical copies of a book, so if you had page and line references it could lead to some hidden code. But that is prolly a little too convoluted....

    Spotter planes do have a sound, do you mean the carrier pigeons? Didn't notice about the start message, but if indeed it is now quieter that is a welcome change (to me) because it always came over about 3 times louder than anything in the text and in most cases sounded way too cheesy to my tastes and really really set my teeth on edge every effing time!
