Something about CC and dev blog changes on reddit given to CCs

There's two ways how they can milk the players. One is to introduce more and more premium ships which is a problem if they powercreep the older ships (which many players have bought previously) and create an actual, not just perceived (marketing based) need to buy them. In other words, WG are employing both performative and psychological tricks to boost sales, IMO. Not that I'm opposed to new premium or silver ships, mind you. I just want to keep it fair and square for us. Another way to milk us again psychological as many of these events seem to based on triggering the sunk cost fallacy in the players. Just like in the case of the Puerto Rico, but on a smaller scale, you could call it 'micro sunk cost fallacy'. Probably too many of us put down money on the Puerto Rico, but I hazard to guess that a lot more of us are prepared to pay along the lines of 3 to 10 euros (or equivalent) towards not having to lose the perceived gain in terms of something like tokens and lose out on the 'free' award. Again, as WG is a business I am fully aware that they need to make money to stay profitable, what I am critical of is that their entire mode of operation seems to be shifting more and more in the direction of the shiftier shades of the gray area. -
I have a 60Hz monitor, so I figured that a 60 FPS might be a good target value for me. I tried the suggestions above in #14 and #19, setting FPS at 60 and maxing lighting and sea rendering. The game seems to run pretty smoothly. What I mostly try to avoid is having FPS drop down to sub 30 values, because that starts to hurt my aim a lot. And.. I don't need any extra challenges brought by lag even though I use that as a convenient excuse at times...

The problem with any Mikasa build is you mostly get to enjoy it either in Coop or in the random Queue... -

It's called 'News', comrade. 'News'. As you might read in the 'Izvestiya'.. if not even in 'Pravda'. Premium time appreciated, cheers! -
Yeah, that happens. You can only reliably do your bit, it sucks when you try to do that and notice your team's stronger flank has utterly and abysmally failed against the weaker enemy team flank.... The advice in the posts above is sound, IMO. You do your best, and grab any tea and medals you can.

I see... yes, that could inconvenience things a bit.

I think your side should have been able to deal with the Bismarck, otherwise you were at a disadvantage because Izumo is not exactly what I would call a tactically flexible ship. I sense the best course of action would have been to reposition your ships closer to mid and ambush the enemy. More easily said than done, of course.

They had Bismarck to do their scouting?

Is there a reason to play anything other than Soviet ships?

I sense you haven't yet watched the Naval Legends? The Legendary Soviet BB's from the higher tiers figured prominently. -

Yeah, battles on the Fiji tend to be on the shorter side. -

I never liked the Kremlin. The guns were way too trollish for my taste. You could get anywhere between spectacular hits (rare) or flat out dings (often). -

Getting premium Moskwa, how far would you go to get it?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Dongi_2018's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... Petropavlovsk... I remember two ships by that name, one Russian, the other Soviet. Both sunk IIRC. -

The fridge, probably. Unless it's been raided by William Conrad. -

New event and yet another disappointment!
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Silver_Leviathan's topic in General Discussion
Right, I understand that. I also think that in order to be fair, the rewards have to be proportionate to either time/effort and/or money spent towards the event. While it can, in terms of fairness, include varying elements of randomness, IMO that cannot be tied to either time, effort or money, the random element has to work more like a wheel of fortune in that case. -

Please do not advertise your local tart shop on the forum. As for rewards of value tied to randomness, while it seems fair on the surface the effects will multiply over time. Wasn't the Albemarle an early access ship too? If so, in the previous those who got that had a significant advantage in terms of tokens over those that didn't, because for the Heart of Oak you needed one of three ships. Apart from the Albermarle, you could only get the London after finishing directive 4 (very late in the event) or give WG your money to pay for the Cheshire. WG is acting like the Cheshire cat, grinning all the way to the bank while you watch your money disappear along with him. Not happy about this. -
