So... why are you disagreeing? IMO 4 pts is currently flat out too much to spend on manual secondaries, because if you think in terms of value they give you, any 4 pt choises you make should be something integral to your requirements per ship at least 90% percent of the time. 'Extremely useful' I think would be the term (can't be bothered to check in under Wiki). However, it's clear that the point system does not work this way... still, you got to make educated choices especially with those 4 pts you're going to choose. Yes, they are good for memes. Memes, however, don't win many battles.- 52 replies

The key issue is usability but avoiding making them OP. If the cost is 4 pts then it the bonus has to be significant. On the other hand, if the cost is lowered, it would have to be balanced. One way to do is to handle it like the AA priority sector. It might give something like a 30 second boost to secondaries when and if you choose to activate it manually. If you're secondaries would have started to fire automatically by default, they would alert you and you could then activate the 30 second boost.- 52 replies

Only have experience with t5 and t7 really. Both seem very solid as long as you get used to them properly, will prolly benefit from better captains as well. The event itself was.. disappointing though....

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: The game has no radar, what it has a magical particle camera that displays the image of the target as if it were seen by naked eye. Nerf the bloody cheat radar already! (Not that it is the biggest problem any more, CV's and islands are much more of an issue.)

If a Free XP ship drops, you save a huge stack of Free XP. Unless, of course, it's something you never wanted as @invicta2012 points out. Me neither, I got some. Mostly can only use them for Coop missions but once made the embarrassing mistake of entering tier X randoms.... It's a gamble. But it's the sort of gamble where you lose less than if you go into Full Whale mode and individually buy most of the premium ships out there. Mostly buying the Xmas crates only makes sense if you don't spend much otherwise and use the gold that drops to buy premium time and possibly some individual premium ships, such as the Marbleheads and so on. Whether that is a good reason or not depends on how each of us sees it. That is why I put it in quotation marks. It is perhaps best to play as close to F2P as you can, but if you spend money, it's always a good idea to look for what offers the best value IMO. -

Bit late to answer, but if you mean 'Collector' items, you should have received a custom flag and a patch/emblem. The flag is, of course, for ships in game, the patch if you select it will show up here on the forum as well.

People in battle said I still have the Swedish ensign.... .... what I don't get is how did this change overnight? When I use an outdated flag mod this happens but right after the update. (And there can't have been an update because the modded flag is still there in my game...) The flags don't change while the same update is still running... I'm going to look for an up-to-date flag mod anyway. Or.. maybe I'm just going senile.. not sure these days... .... up-to-date mod certainly fixed. You can close this thread...

Why did my few Swedish DD's defect to some strange nation overnight. I am running a flag mod but this happened overnight. Yesterday I still had the Swedish ensign on these ships, today it's been changed on its own to this: Thoughts?

Haven't played the Texas for a while, and not even VU that much tbh, but IIRC the guns are better and so is mobility IMO. But don't quote me on that, cause I haven't really tried to compare those two properly. The biggest factor is the AA, expect to do a lot better when there are no CV's in the battle.. and, of course, don't expect to much when facing higher tiers.... The AA, however, is a huge problem even on tier 3 with ships that were never expected to face CV's or planes for that matter.. and don't have any AA upgrades refitted to help them. The difference is that at tier 5 you can still complete missions of various kind, at tier 3 it's just for fun but having no AA at all in a CV battle... is no fun at all. Don't worry if you aren't buying the VU, there are plenty of solid silver tier 5 BB's to choose from! -

Judging how during the past couple of years actual real content been diminishing while the game's been flooded with flashy new premiums... yeah. Currently, WeeGee is making a faster buck out of this approach to 'content' than through building a game featuring solid naval gameplay.
