Statistics huh? Please also factor in what makes DD's a difficult class to play, such as CV's in particular. Also bear in mind that the BB statistics like all the statistics are thrown off by the fact that the best players also have the best support. Statistics are IMO not a reliable method of trying to balance different ships because of a number of such factors, the only way to do this is to compare each ship's capabilities against another ship. I play both DD's and BB's regularly, so I feel somewhat experienced in this area, even if I don't pretend to be anywhere near where the top players are.

Well, something's off in the game IMO. The DD's can make a disproportionate amount of damage with both their torpedoes and their guns (in some cases) using HE spam to capital ships. True, there is also typically a disproportionately low number of DD's per battle, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to make them that strong in an effort to even out the imbalance.

There is a similar change of shape occurring further back in the details. The edges go from rounded to rectangular.

Yes that goes from red to white, but it is not just with the camo on, the change occurs in the bare ship model too. Also look at the gratings on top of the actual smoke funnel ahead, they disappear at the same time.

I take it you are referring to the gratings on top of the funnels and the foremost ventilation funnel? Yeah, definitely the same thing happens with my DD too when in port, at least. EDIT If you remove the camo you can still see the same thing happening. EDIT 2 Why is your DD flying the Hinomaru? You some kind of pirate pretending to be a merchantman?

Not sure if nerfing it rather than adjusting it would have brought better results. There are some lines where you suddenly get a worse ship when you go one tier higher. At least the stock version of the Östergötland feels very inferior to the tier 8 Öland. Will have to see what I will think when I manage to upgrade it a bit. So far, not very promising....

So.. only go for the modules that actually are worth getting.. or not even those, as it maybe that your time, effort and money would be best spent elsewhere.

TBH this game start to feel more and more like a whack-a-mole day by day. Oh, how I miss open Beta time, when this game still really felt like a naval game.

I suppose.. one way of seeing of this if IMO WeeGee had wanted to at least try to be fair about it, would have been to let those who had bought the old tier X permacamo to keep it (make the new permacamo different, in other words) and make the bonuses stack. Or add up, even better. Just my two cents...

This was actually late last evening, past midnight so technically today. Couldn't post then because of the forum glitching and all. The battle started out as just one of those mediocre battles, hit some, sink none kind of affair. My team seemed to do well, managing to cap all three zones, I even managed to sink some cruiser in the distance. Then things started to go wrong. How wrong is easily demonstrated by the fact that we had an enemy Shima back on A line going after our CV. Guess who had to go and intercept it... me.... on my Yamato. Going after a DD with a BB is one of those stupid rookie things I am known for, this type I was lucky enough to have our CV spotting the enemy and two of us managed to wear it down. I had the honor of sinking the Shima, managing to turn at the last moment. Three waves of torpedoes died just when they were reaching my stern. Things took a turn for the worse though, we started losing even more ships, but held onto the caps. We were eventually in the 900 region with very little time on the clock left. I was dodging waves of enemy air attacks and engaging their Conqueror while doing so. Suddenly... heard a loud noise and noticed... I was the only ship on my team left. Luckily for me I managed to sink the enemy Conq, had a good portion of my hp intact and was far from the enemy cruisers. Also they could not have capped all 3 zones in the time left, so all I had to do was not let their CV sink me. Which.. I managed to do! It's rare for me to be able to carry a team to victory, mostly done it on my DD previously (rarely) and this time on the Yamato. As a bonus, I managed to complete a 3 star campaign mission too!

Yeah, I've had that same problem too. You hit the 'submit' button and go put the kettle on and have some tea while waiting for it to get posted... tea's good though.
