IIRC I did play one 'submarine battle' with my BB. Maybe that unlocked the tokens, no idea.

I don't recall having to do anything special to start getting those tokens though.

Well yes.. this is a little too similar to the problem of EBR's in WoT. They ruined what was left of that game, a far bigger issue than even arty there. As long as the subs stay in a separate mode, the situation here remains much much better. Also, unlike the EBR's.. I may be able to play subs meself...

You could try a torpedo run.. if you somehow manage to survive long enough to get withing your torpedo range. Why is it a lot of the Soviet ships have these 4km torpedoes? Do they want to save on fuel? Are they so bad they go off course after 4 klicks?

You get the sense they meant it to be a submarine but got the napkins mixed up after too much vodka*? * Though for the Russians there is no such thing as 'too much vodka'.

No, this is state of the art Russian tech, they can actually do one better and watch (for free!) any pr0n you're watching.

Finally collected enough of those measly cheapskate tokens, only took almost 40 crates to do with 5 being pretty much the standard amount, with few 10, 15 and enormously magnanimous 25 dropping at times. How did they manage to run dark in formation before radar?

Whenever (and it is too often) I pay attention to event grinding or missions, my interest in the game takes a hit. I think it is in large part due to the fact that those missions force me to play ships I wouldn't otherwise be playing at all, or at least not to that degree. I hope it is also never improper to state that the game needs the missing operations back ASAP and new ones too.

So.. a lot depends if you have randoms in mind rather than operations?

I was quickly done with WoW too, as I never figured out how to leave the starting area. HE is a much bigger issue than CV's IMHO (others will be quick to disagree...). Make sure your BB is not at point, the DD's in this game are notoriously bad at team play, but try to rely on their passive screening at least. In other words, always try to take the time to see to it there are friendly ships between you and the enemy. I take it you want to lead, but only push when you can deliver.

Most often this happens with my DD's... I don't usually smoke. Except on social occasions.
