I don't actually hide my stats because of the stats. Still, there's something hilarious about the way those who use stats as an argument comment on me at times by saying 'ah but I see you have hidden your stats'.

I've lately started using the WGC code redeeming function, seems to work more hassle free than the web site.

That's fine. I just do it to lull the enemy into a false sense of confidence before I strike ..... and miss.

Might be down to my weird color settings, but to me the colors seem muted. Your 'yellow' I think is more like khaki for me, and the darker shade looks like olive green.

Thanks, I can see it now, I thought there was some difference in the pattern itself, but it's the paint color which kind of switches between those areas. I voted, but I prefer to keep my vote secret.

The patch is some mission. It just popped up for me, I don't pay any attention to the missions, unfortunately.

Well, I've seen cases where one team has 2 x the same BB (like a US BB), then the other team matches them with 1 US BB + 1 BB of another nation. MM does not match nations, per say, as far as I can tell. It matches individual ships if it can, and if it can't it matches the tier and class, but not the nation. Nowadays, of course, many nations have alternate branches so it's possible I suppose it can do that as well. I think what @DFens_666 is describing is such a match when it's 3 becoming 2+1.

Not sure what you are saying, but what happens is some of the ships are matched by an identical ship, some of the ships are matched by tier and class.

Why do we sometimes get two teams mirroring each almost ship to ship, though? Purely by random coincidence?

Premiums only have an effect on WG bank balance.

Don't forget the classic 'go play Tetris'. I've received so many recommendations to date, that I think I maybe should give Tetris a try.... or rather, a retry in my case. Didn't work out so well the last time though come to think of it...
