Interesting... I was able to citadel a broadsiding Georgia yesterday. Couldn't quite sink it though. I did better in that battle than before, perhaps because I was lucky when taking insane risks playing the Soyuz more like a mid map destroyer (even capped the mid zone....) and going flank to flank and almost running in circles all the time. I have every fire and damage prevention in the book what I can get with captain skills and upgrades without using any of the flags. I still get 2 to 3 fires often. One factor might just be that I get focused by HE spammers a lot, so that is one and perhaps the likeliest explanation.

The SS burns like hell though. I can't imagine how bad it would be without the counter-measures in place.

How's fire proofing? Because I just remembered that the SS seems very prone to burning, even with every possible captain skill and upgrade selected.

It is indeed very nasty. Just a brief look at how people behave these days tells you very is very little civility left in the world. And I'm not talking about cursing. A lot of people seem to think they can behave like 5 year olds any time, any place.

Which means.. your aim has to be pretty accurate or you miss even more?

Somehow it feels less accurate, and as usual, most hits tend to be ricochets or overpens. Overall, it is not a 'fun' ship for me.

The continent is sometimes called Eurasia. Europe is a peninsula of Asia that reaches towards the Atlantic. The Urals as the dividing line between the two continents (though only Asia is a continent proper) is completely arbitrary. Since I am (in part) Uralic, I tend to rather see myself as Eurasian not European. At most you could say that Russia is a European power mostly located in Asia or something.

I think you are right on that. It leads you think that you are going to get the tier 9 Azuma. Very bad show.

I'd be more willing to bet I'm cursed, but I'm also doing the regrind and I think it was the same thing the first time around. On the other hand, I was actually surprised how well the t8 Vladivostok seemed to do.. which just makes it harder to do the tier 9 grind by comparison.

So.. what's the logic? They boost ships that are especially bad to play in the existing meta to compensate for that?

I'm just now in middle of one of the most painful grinds, the 'famed' Sovetzky Soyuz, the worst crap tier 9 BB I seen in the game.... and this is a nerfed version.. and I'm supposed to be pay for it just for the privilege of premium status and a pair of well cushioned.. er..uh.. turrets... They couldn't have picked a better name for it then.

Playing ranked seems to suck for me this season... It's almost constant 'twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder where you are' for me all the time, still stuck at rank 16....

Perhaps you could get to have a field day?
