SI is one of my default picks too. I tend to run torpedo builds so I will always need CE for those. DE is probably mandatory with IFHE. I might give this a try with the more gunboat like DD's, if you plan to go in guns blazing all the time not much use for concealement.

Hmm... They must have passed a bunch of lemons off to me, cause none of my Soviet ships, premiums or otherwise are not very OP. The high tier BB's certainly don't feel like it. The fact that the Sovkovy Soyuz is the worst of the bunch effectively means I have zero interest in the AL Sovkovaya Rossiya either. I probably won't be bothered to spend hard earned RP's on the Slava, but is there any indication it would be a better ship compared to what we got so far? Unless it is better than the Yamato, or even the GK, any reason to go for it?

Either that, or WeeGee has found a way to simulate how rust made Soviet turrets solidly stuck.

I never plan to fire my torps at 3 clicks, though. With my luck, though, even if I did, they'd somehow manage to dodge all of them....

Not sure if the mechanics allow this, but I think the torps might work against enemy DD's trying to cap in smoke. Obviously they won't hit the DD, but if they got the warning they might panic and leave the smoke. I just can't remember if DWT's give that beep sound or not.

The passive play is not a problem due to the ships, or even players. It's due to those rocks all over every map, and the fact that the maps are too small, especially on the higher tiers. I don't like camping, but I don't like brawling either, my choice would be tactical play.

I liked those games a lot.. well... maybe not the Secret of the Silver Blades so much but... I actually at one point played them again when the PC collection got released, but.. I have a feeling even that was a relatively long time ago... Perhaps WeeGee could make it an honorary Russian ship, seeing how the Greeks a long time ago used to use the Russian Navy ensign for protection against Ottoman vessels. That they it could be suitably buffed for T7.

Oh my, I remember those books too! And the magazines also had pages and pages of scripts that I used to type in as well. The first proper game I played actually came with the unit, it was a cartridge you stuck in the back port and featured some football game you could play against someone with joysticks. Yay!
