Karasu_Browarszky replied to Verikoira's topic in General Discussion
If it sells the price is right. Don't mean I'm buying though. -

WeeGee servers now based on fuzzy logic or something? -
Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'bathtub simulation'.

Hmm.. I'll have to experiment a bit. Seems you are usually satisfied with the 60 FPS setting then? -
Hmm... for me the Masachusetsu is mostly a CooP mission pony. The main guns don't work to my satisfaction.

BTW, I actually have no idea if the FPS should somehow match your monitor frequency or if that is irrelevant. The default 75 seems a little odd regardless. I went for 30 FPS because that should be enough if you consider how tv and movies are standardized at 24 FPS. -

I set the FPS at fixed 30, however, I have detected more variation lately. Instead of being fairly stable at 30/31 it has at times dropped to 27 or so. -

You might try running full repair from WGC settings. I did (due to flag mod problems). Then the WGC gave me an error message and I had to press the Check and install button in the lower right corner. The flag mod problem got solved. I manually change the FPS (after every update) to make the game run more balanced. That may or may not help. I have noticed more lag spikes and occasional stutter lately myself. I have custom graphics settings, not max, not minimum either. I'm not sure the problem is necessarily with graphics, it might be server side. -
I played a few battles with the Colorado when this was announced... sorry to say, I kinda lost interest after that....
-
Well, that largely depends on what you are looking for. In the current meta, with subnormally small maps filled with rocky crappings all over, the brawler type may well be more fun to play. My personal preference though, is having battleships engage at longer range behind the protective screen.
-
That's what I actually thought till I figured out it was the above. Kinda stupid 'feature' if you're asking me.
-
This wouldn't be so bad, but WG chooses to have the missions in a chain where you need to finish one before the next one becomes unlocked. Having bad luck with RNG missions (how stupid is this, really) effectively then torpedoes the whole thing as you get kinda stuck. Unlike the directives we had in the past, which only had locked stages whereas the individual missions could be completed simultaneously. Brilliant, WeeGee....

I see you been reading my game book. -
I don't look at people's stats, but the performance badges of two of those players (insignia) told me they were at least advanced players. The best Pommern had the American elite badge, while the lowest placed Pommern had the Elitetruppe der Kriegsmarine bagde, so I'm assuming that neither was a bad player, and the one with the German elite badge must have known German ships well, if not necessary BB's or specifically the Pommern. Oh, I don't mean any of them did really badly. Even the lower placed Pommerns were about half way down on the list.
-
Probably. Which means we will never get a definitive answer on how good any ship is.
-
Was just in battle where there were 3 Pommerns. One did very well, the other two not so much. Since the ship is essentially the same for all, could it be the performance is uhm.. player related? I don't mean just skill related, but suitability and gameplay style as well.

Georgia seems a little soft in the citadel department. As long as you remember how bloody fast it can be.

I remember a battle about 2 days ago. We had no DD's, playing the north side our DM went near an island on the C cap on Hotspot. Called me stupid when I said something, don't recall what he did, or anything, spotted him last on the battle results after we had won the battle. (While I was top in my Soyuz...)

How do you like Slava? Worth to regrind 5 lines?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps because unlike the measly Soviet Navy, the Royal Navy did not need napkin ships because they had real battleships like the Conq... oh bugger. -

Nobody builds ships like the Russians! Not even the Russians. -
