Overall, people are too obsessed with capping while ignoring tactical advantages.

You left a gap in the mid for their DD's....

Slave dispersion will be nerfed in 0.9.11

Well, maths is not my strongest suit, how would the relative +10% and -20% work against each other? -
Sooo... what happens if I were to shoot at any of the red barrels? I'm curious.

Well after this, I won't hit any ship on any ship. My presence in battles will become purely for decorative purposes. -
I'd rather tend to think it's more the case of the margin of error becoming extremely narrow.

Yes, also a good team will keep a cool head. I was actually surprised by this on mid tiers today, fully expecting our team to lose when we suddenly still fairly early in the battle lost all our three DD's almost simultaneously. The enemy had full team with a full three DD advantage over us... normally meaning Game Over. Only this time it didn't. Our team prevailed.

Is the Colorado armor belt correct?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to NDA_2020's topic in General Discussion
I did some googling, didn't find what I was looking for, but what I actually found is a very interesting looking site covering several ships! The article on the Yamato has this to say: http://www.kagero.eu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=428:the-japanese-battleship-yamato&catid=96:navy&Itemid=686 -

Just remember I could remember wrong, or seen something I misinterpreted. Cheers! -

That's what I been trying to recollect here. I can just say I remember seeing an armor scheme that was different form what we got. In game armour seems to be missing something IIRC. -

I'm hoping to be proven wrong, so a comparison would be something I for one would very gratefully wish to see, NDA_2020-san! -

I've gotten a few SC's this year, haven't kept any records though, sadly. Recently I got two SC's within the space of something like three weeks. The State Secret is.... .... run the game with the Rushan Language Client. Da, comrades! -

Meaning is it historically correct in the game? Yamato armour isn't anyway... do other BB's have historical armour? -
Boy, do those bridges look antiquated. Here's the bridge of the Enterprise for comparison. On a more serious note, here is the HMS Vanguard. It appears they were still using an open bridge as late as this (as tradition requires!).

I've made absolutely ridiculous mistakes with ship selection too. (But I blame those on the carousel and dodgy ship selection etc.). IIRC the worse was a DD game where I was in a good spot to torp the enemy... until I found out it was my Friesland I was on...

Weekly Combat Missions: the Outbreak of World War II
Karasu_Browarszky replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
A free 10 pt captain is always welcome, but, yeah, it is kind of sad one ship is a tech tree ship (and an older one at t8 at that). -
Knowing it and knowing how to counter is two very different things. If I wanted to play safe, I should stick to the map edge, close my eyes, cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Iowa and Georgia, twins that only their mother could love then... Yeah, even I'm not (hope) that stupid. One thing that causes me more readily to make mistakes is 'fog of war' in a sense, and worse yet, asymmetrical information. I sense that enemy is well aware of my position and heading most times, but I often get blindsided when the minimap suddenly lights up with red dots like a teenager's face after too much sweet candy and chocolate bars. In terms of how concealement radius supposedly works in this game, I should have been able to spot them a lot sooner. That, and the uncanny thing that they regularly seem to have a much better aim than I do...

TK Penalty - Did i miss the Memo?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to MistaBoo's topic in General Discussion
I've been pink repeatedly, sometimes I seem to be really unlucky and it happens several times within a few weeks. Never been orange though. -
At least with operations being dropped left and right, the rotation gets faster...

Randoms.. the ranked sprint so completely different that you can't really even talk of having real game play there IMO. Some of my mistakes in randoms are unavoidable. This happens often when my team sort of melts around me and I'm left against a lot more opponents than I originally thought, with no backup, and way too close to the enemy as a result of trying to support my flank. Other times it's intentional because I'm working at range. What puzzles me then is the uncanny accuracy some can land heavy hits against me from across the map. I can't manage that myself, if I hit it's mostly dings and overpens. Another funny thing is they seem to have me spotted a lot longer than I have them spotted. I've even noticed a tendency how the enemy ships blink out the second I start aiming at them...

I'm one of the Broadside Lot....

Ah, his preference is a cautious play style then.
