Do transformers premium camo (namely Megatron one) include voices?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to FrankvC_Jr's topic in General Discussion
Hey, then you might know the answer to my question! Do the Transformer camos come with any kind of way of replacing the national ensign? You know how the ARP, HSF, etc. have replaced the ensign with the past collaborations. In WoWS proper all the videos seem to show the ships with the default national ensigns. The images in the Premium Shop conveniently have all ensigns edited out.... conveniently as it were... -

Most likely Megatron has to be in the reserve, so you can activate the special captain voice from the Sound settings, then it should not matter which captain is actually on the ship, my guess. -
Are you going to play new US BB line?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Wulf_Ace's topic in General Discussion
Speed is important for deployment and redeployment, so how are these BB's going to fare realistically? -
I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that there is already a pinned thread for discussing shenanigans... I mean matchmaking. Actually no effing difference....

They are supposed to be fun and engaging to blow converted Free XP on. -

Still no. -
did any of ships ingame have variable pitch propellers?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to SkollUlfr's topic in General Discussion
They are already doing this, damned anti-locking-breaks-using-dodgy-dodgy cruisers. -
Batteries included?

Well, I googled and Wikipedia only mentions early use in connection with aircraft. Seems to be too new for all the current WoWS ships. However, I came across something that tells us that the Americans had ' holicoidal, two-stage reduction gear coupled with high-speed steam turbines built by the General Electric Co. This solution enabled the designers to keep propeller rotations within limits acceptable from the hydrodynamic point of view.' http://www.kagero.eu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=205:the-battleship-uss-north-carolina&catid=96&Itemid=686&limitstart=3 -
Same as any other RU captain.

BTW anyone with any of the Transformer camos can you verify if the ships are still stuck with the only option of flying the relevant tech tree nation ensign or if they got a flag option like the Pan-Asian ships for instance. Based on the videos it looks like the camo does not change the flag, which seems unusual considering all the previous collaboration camos changed the ensigns.

Missions limited by premium account?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to ThePopesHolyFinger's topic in General Discussion
Okay, now I remember some of those... I did manage some, but not all IIRC, and probably only because I had premium account running and could do three missions simultaneously. -
Come on, mate, where's your spirit of discovery?

Missions limited by premium account?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to ThePopesHolyFinger's topic in General Discussion
Really? I must have missed the lot of them then... I've only done one non-permanent campaign, the Much-hurried Strong-willed campaign. -
Missions limited by premium account?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to ThePopesHolyFinger's topic in General Discussion
Normally this would be almost a non-issue as the campaigns all used to be permanent. Since they started introducing time gated campaigns recently, however... it could really be a problem. -
Don't know about the Pommern, but yeah, the Thunderer can even fire over smaller islands, always nice to surprise the odd Smolensk hiding behind them.

Anybody else has disconnects today?

Just now... -
Wargaming should really take notice.

Nerfing one of the prides of Soviet shipbuilding, comrade? -
Yeah, it is a bad feature. By default those filters are on, but if they are turned off, there is no warning, and it is easy to forget that you should turn them back on if you start dismissing your captains. I keep most of them turned off myself, not because of the captains, but because of the camos.
-
Apparently it still works, though. Gives you the Jingles mission.
-
I sense they are supposed to be played differently. Can't exactly tell you how, because I tend to play all my BB's the same away, with intermittent cursing. If I were to guess, the Pommern is a mid to close range brawler (IMHO you can't brawl even with German BB's...) open to secondary builds with close range torps as a backup. Thunderer, on the other hand, being more of a mid to long range AP citadel machine.. or something like that. Also, economywise they are different. Pommern is a premium ship whereas Thunderer is a special ship. How exactly that shows up on the spreadsheet, can't actually say.

Had a look at your screenshots. The trained captain for each ship is at the top of the Reserve list. This means that I bet it is Maurice Bragg who is Bumblebee's 'human form'.
-
Not quite, it will show a generic captain/name for all and any special captains if the relevant filter is turned off. However, those should be turned on by default, same goes for Transformers... that's a bit odd unless you been tinkering with them at some point.
-
Do you got one of those special filters turned off? I mean the sprocket wheel on right side above the carousel? Found the setting! Transformers, under Custom Ships, that has to be turned on (green).
