Very nice. What colours are available, can I have them in verdant green, mauve and pink too, please? I don't want to stand out in battles.
-
If WG does not watch out, WT may yet blow them out of the water. If I can continue to have the same amount of fun with a garden hose as in WoWS, and along comes a serious naval warfare game....
-
Not even trying to get in until the WG 'experiment' with Daily Shitments is over.
-
WoWS maps are so small such a ship would not miss a spot.

You might actually for real suggest a 'Kremlin camo' for the Kremlin, with added emphasis on all sorts of red paint schemes. Could get you pretty close.
-
22.5 k for one camo may be too much for many average players playing with a narrow margin without a premium account. I'll see just how narrow the margin is going to be when my premium time will end I will become a F2P player myself. You might very well see me running around naked in some future battles. I won't change my user name to Lady Godiwa though.

Yes, but WG's idea of balancing is fundamentally wrong IMO. They should have opted for era-based structure instead of just tiers. Balance ships or the same era against each other and so on. Each era could be comprised of 2-3 tiers, and the ships of different eras would never see each other in battle, which, after all, is absolutely realistic (yes I know this is an arcade game but I dont' bloody bleeding care about this as far as this argument goes).

Well, allegedly the IJN developed such special ships, cleverly disguised as British trawlers, tracking Russian Fleet movements in the North Sea. Spotted!

I salute OP for such a bold suggestion. Excuse me...

Still, at least as the Bismarck goes it is a reasonable approximate of how she looked. AFAIK nobody really knows the her exact appearance in her last battle, so at least that camo is reasonably historical if not 100% accurate. Enough to make it credible. Much more credible than having a giant crustacean on the Yamato... I'd like to see either 100% historical camos (Kure grey for the Yamato!) or reasonably credible camos at the very least. My favourite for the Bismarck, though, would be the Baltic stripe. Absolutely the most stylish camo ever worn by any ship.

There is still a sizeable player base at least on the EU server. Will they be able to retain or even expand it, remains to be seen.... True, single player games and some MMO's are story driven. I was thinking about simulation games and such, though, but come to think of it, they do usually have a kind of a story in a sense as they are replicating some historical campaigns and battles. WoWS has the ability to do that, the scenario battles/operations, but instead of developing what I think would be the most interesting concept in WoWS further, they instead seem to be trying to relegate it to the margins.

I had a look at the WGC settings. I should imagine the correct boxes are all ticked on by default, so unless you changed those yourself, it is probably not down to settings. However, I noticed I have 'Launch Game Center when I start the computer' ticked, and for me it does not seem to launch despite the setting. At least I think there's something funny about it, because when I manually launch the WGC when I want to play, it immediately begins to auto download updates... right when I want to use it for playing the game. Fun. I have put the download speeds at 'Unlimited' BTW. Better to give the WGC the maximum resources to download the updates IMO.

Island marker in plain water - Serious issue or just random bug?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to DFens_666's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes the auto lock on switches targets when they are close to each other. Not sure if this could be related to that. -
Yes, but even completely balanced teams can produce lame gameplay. Mostily, IMO, because ironically there aren't enough random variables in the game.
-
AKA asymmetric battles. Yes, I liked those. It would make things interesting to say the least, if something similar would be present in randoms too along with a clear emphasis on the tactical element. In some sense, I think WG's obsession of making ships different from each others in various gimmicky ways could help make things interesting, as long as the 'difference' doesn't get evened out making the result some kind of generic goo in terms of the battle experience. I'd prefer if things were changed, using whatever balancing or mechanic WG should come up with, in such a way that the players would be strongly encouraged to play a tactically sound battle, or suffer the consequences. The problem with 'RNG' tactics is, it becomes hard to analyse where you failed, or why sometimes why you succeeded. In some ways we may have this, at least in those battles where at least one of the teams achieves higher coordination of their tactics, but overall the tactical element is stagnant, not dynamic, as many players focus on just exploiting their ships' relative strength vs weaker enemies. That makes sense on individual level, but when you think of the whole team and winning the battle, it longer makes that much sense.

HMS Cheshire. More Cheshire Cheese than Cheshire Cat.

Not sure how much you can rely on what's better on paper or not, as even different kind of players will play these ships differently. It's when all the indicators are inherently worse than the ship you are comparing it against, that you can more reliably say it's a bad ship. This is why I like looking at various reviews myself, to be better able to gauge how I might expect the ship to perform. -

5 years? Funny as that's when the game was at its best. -

Leaked TOP SECRET footage from WoWS devs hard at work. Amazing discoveries, attention to detail and spectacular results! (Bit long, if you are short of time, skip to the end to see those!) -
Comrade, only Rushan radar can pick up threats no one else sees.

Would the Community like to have less RNG in Fires and Floodings ?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
It is a major hazard, yes, no argument. You'd just think when it comes to warships they'd give some thought to trying to reduce the fire hazard as much as they could. In previous discussions, people have explained that the wood (obviously) and paint (slight less obviously) are the most likely to burn on a ship (apart from inflammable stuff, textiles, and well.. uhm.. people). I'm a little curious how much heat those deck fires would generate in outdoor conditions, though. If someone knows, what the actual firefighting measures are like on warships, I'd like to know about that as well. There's certainly plenty of water around, but I'd be a little concerned if I'd have to play a firefighter on open decks in battle conditions. -
But what about the RNG? Won't anybody think of the RNG?
-
Yeah, well. If you were asking me, it makes sense economywise and maybe even gamewise too. If everyone would go naked we could have so much more fun.
-
Curious, though, as no camo means less concealement, would the enemy target them first, or would they overlook them as non-threats?
