Could be, in rough terms but for different reasons, I think. France especially would have wanted to have a fleet capable of defending their colonies. For Russia the fleet would have been of less strategic importance. I'd assume the ability to protect their shipping routes would have been a factor, making defensive capabilities more important than offensive capabilities all around. The special problem for Russia would have been the long distance between the Baltic and Black Sea fleets and the Pacific fleets.

Didn't expect to see a thread this long, TBH.

I'd welcome any mode that at least makes a token nod to anything remotely realistic.

Cheers! Basically, when it comes to ship ensigns, with a PNG editor, even I could make my own private mod and just keep updating as WG 'conveniently' keeps switching the flag positions on the chart. Used to do just that years back, just haven't got one in use right now.

I've only now managed to get as far as install the Modstation. A lot of nice options to use, however, some cannot chosen. There are a few in various categories, but the one I would have been especially interested to see is the Modified Flags section. None of those seem to work apart from the 'Clear all flags' option which is not the one I'm interested in. So.. basically,.. Question 1: Why can't I select any of the other flag mod; Question 2: If they worked, would selecting any of them would prevent me from using any independent flag mod at the same time?

Well, my ISP was bought up by another company DNA ISP , so I'm linked via them. I have no effing idea why they would be blocking a single IP address like the WG wiki... also, I have no idea how they would be connected to, say, ISP's in Poland and other places. What about the majority of players? Are they mostly using something like Cloudfare and everyone who is using their ISP's DNS is blocked? What is the connection and why are the key questions here, unless it is some freakish malfunction that only affects random areas.

Same here. No change. Okay, so... the site works for some, not others. For those who cannot connect the issue is with any browser, I think. Apparently changing the DNS settings didn't change anything (unless I messed that up like everything else), my Win obviously thinks my DNS connection is down when trying to access that site (when it obviously isn't as I can connect to anything else...), and obviously the site itself is operational because other people can access it and there is no problem with the site IP address for them. This seems to affect some countries/areas but not others. Would then a router somewhere along the path be faulty, or otherwise blocking just one site (?) out of a gazillion of them?

Roughly the same for me. On reddit someone said 5 days or so. I've had the wiki open daily 'at standby', along with the forums. I don't remember when I actually looked for something there, possibly a few days ago. I just noticed this issue when the tab showed up with '! Server not found'.
