Turrets & Torps ready but won't fire.
Karasu_Browarszky replied to InfinityIncarnate's topic in General Discussion
Can confirm, especially noticeable with DD torps. There is an uncanny feeling when for a second you don't know if your torps have launched or not, and it gets confusing because you feel like you fire your torps three times even with just two launchers. Obviously only the 'second' and 'third' launches count, though.- 64 replies

Ah... your team deployed themselves skilfully to trap the enemy. An easy win for your team followed?...

Yes, true. Quick losses are almost enjoyable compared to slow, agonizing defeats.

An..unusual complaint...

Collections: Completion and Rewards

I've had those but very rarely. IIRC relogging helped, but it's been so rare can't really remember. Still, something must account for you experiencing the same issues on two different PC's. -
My excuse is the maps are too constrictive, especially on high tiers where all the ships are more or less fast (well.. maybe apart from the new batch of 'miracle' US BB's...). In most cases your brilliant tactical maneuvers end up either hitting the map border or getting beached on some of those blasted rocks. One factor is asymmetrical data when it comes to enemy positions and movement. Even if your team does not do their spotting, it does not mean the opposing team is that lax about things.

I'm fairly sure that is not the official explanation...

Very odd.. you could try asking on the main forum or tech corner about that. The obvious explanation would be your Internet connection, since you have problems on two separate PC's (and consequently two separate game installs). You could try resetting your router, and while it may not help, I switched to a manual DNS setting recently. As I understood it, something like the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 (which I use) or Google (unless you are uncomfortable with Google, I am...) might work better than your ISP's automatic DNS. -

Mods or corrupted files? I never get that, nor have heard of such a problem, only how sometimes the Armory refuses to open at all when the servers are acting up. -

Okay, I was just under the impression some collection could not be finished due to lack of availability of containers. Damned if I can remember which one it was, though. -

So.. the Vive la France containers in the article are the ones available at the Armory. IIRC there is another French container which I never remember... -
Why dont WG fix the "Techtree"
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Ronchabale's topic in General Discussion
I see it is already posted, but I post mine anyway. The 'SOON' is sometimes a little misleading, some of those appear to be test ships only. The Japanese tree is huge! No, @Captain_Newman is not officially part of the Japan techtree. -

Karasu_Browarszky replied to Ronchabale's topic in General Discussion
I see.. well to me the WoWS in client tech tree seems easier to read, though. You are right, though, that it should provide clearer information on availability, or lack thereof as in the case of ships withdrawn. The Wiki provides more information, unfortunately it is not as easy to use and should offer a handier interface, perhaps. Also, it's not really up-to-date it seems... -

Karasu_Browarszky replied to Ronchabale's topic in General Discussion
Going to pop in game later tonight unless someone else posts one before that. The view is just like the regular tree, only many of the the 'missing' premium ships can be found on the right side of the tree. It only displays them, mind you, and while some ships are indicated as 'available in premium shop', they might not necessarily be available there currently. -
Already mentioned, though.

Well, I remember some of those Jingle's panic stricken lines like 'retreat'! and 'run!'...

... hard to read. They did get the colour of the Red Peasants' Navy right, though. -
Valid, yes, but how do feel about the ambiguity? Is it always relative to who gives the command, or to something else?
-
Usually the context helps, however sometimes when you are in front line and use this command to a team mate that is turning away from you, does 'Get back!' then mean 'get back to my position' or 'get the eff out of here'. There are situations where it is ambiguous. Actually, based on some alternate lines, it is meant to mean 'retreat'. So, the meaning is essentially 'disengage'.

No?

However, works on the EU server. Cheers, OP!.... I think...
