Yes, this is one of those 'fixes' that sometimes comes in handy. IIRC this solution helped in one case where the game client was telling the player they had the wrong update installed.

I thought the changes would universally nerf the BB secondaries, or am I mistaken? If that is the case, would those with good secondaries suffer proportionately more compared to the ones with less good secondaries?

I surprised myself by managing to survive with my Makarov in a tier 8 battle. And we even won!

With reckless abandon.. what else? I'm now mostly playing high tier Swedish DD's, the Östergotland seems to be weaker than the others for me. Overall, it seems you can't get mediocre results that easily, you either top the list or end up last (read 'me'). The challenging thing is that the enemy DD is likely to spot you first, in which case you either have to turn tail or press on relying on getting support from your team.

Hmm.. also, as I pointed out earlier, I think the crates bought early seem to be more generous, but this anecdotal and as the random element applies, is debatable as well. Still, unlike in the previous years, I was largely disappointed by the crates this year, and will probably 'adjust' my spending habits and will be mostly spending on premium time during season events. Personally, there are some ships I would still like to get, but I have zero need for port queens that never see battle.

Could be.. but do we actually know if the chance of getting ships is higher for the mega crates, or if they had the same list of potential ships for the differently priced crates.. or even if every player got the same selection. In the past, that was the assumption I had it seemed to hold true, this year.... just not so sure.
