I don't think they are a joke, they are free, and while some drop a couple of camos that I don't really need, some I've got have also provided me with nice bonus resources for minimal effort. -
how ridiculous is this?

Perhaps OP thinks Cyprus is too close to Greece? -
I recall Hellers.. but at the time I was more into plane kits than ships. Probably Airfix kits, at least the paints etc. were either Airfix or Humbrol.
-
We mostly had.. Revell kits...

How to deactivate stupid floral decorations on Hizen War Paint camo??
Karasu_Browarszky replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
I take it you don't let a Teddy Bear captain any of your ships, either? For once the servers would be properly buffered! -
Apparently, the old system was too easy and casual, and the reward system overly generous. Well, now I have more time to play the Operations... oh wait...
-
Here's a source where you can pick up what you need to complete the WG camo look. Though.. in actuality I'm hoping you will decide on the Kure grey instead.

The diagram is a dead giveaway. I assume OP left it there as another clue.

Well, on the plus side with this campaign we all know that for sure beforehand so we can make an informed decision this time. -

Unless I'm mistaken, as a Tachibana owner I received compensation in credits, not in doubloons, and I expect this to be the case with the Yahagi as well. This will, of course, dramatically change the economics of the campaign... The compensation for the Tachibana was 1.425.000 credits. -

Unless we hear an official statement denying any plans to fold, I very much doubt this is about to happen. -
This new ranked system makes me very sad...

It's utter crap as far as I'm concerned. -

The CV non problem - thread for non-skilled plebs
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Camperdown's topic in General Discussion
Finally an inclusive thread! As a pleb, here's my general two cents on the subjects. I don't mind the CV's per se (useful expression please learn it), they have a place in the high tier battles if we remember how WW2 used to have 'carrier battles'. Conversely, they should be severely limited in the lower tier battles. I understand it's difficult to balance something potentially so powerful, because the game needs to stay playable and worthwhile not only for the non-CV ships and the CV's themselves. -
Who knows what secrets the Lesta Cafeteria Napkin Cabinet still has in store for us!

How to get better at World Of Warships?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Axl06's topic in General Discussion
Zara is a good ship (for a cruiser), North Carolina is a good BB, too. There's too ways you can look at this, either play the ships you have to their strengths, or try to play ships that cater to your best playstyle and approach to the game. While it is a good idea to play a lot of mid tiers (if for no other reason but the that seems to be the 'sweet spot' for the game mechanics), remember that the high tiers essentially have a different meta (inferior IMHO), so you will have to learn to master that quite separately from the mid tiers. -
Ah... but the Gangut class are Russian ships. The Soviets just stole them from the Russians... Actually, I think one of my distant cousins commanded the Petropavlovsk (1911) some time during the war, IIRC in 1917.

Your 'possibly' only covers both World Wars. However, when it comes to the WW2 you don't need the 'possibly' bit at all. The Italians definitely had more, and the only Soviet battleship I can think of was the Arhangelsk which the Brits had rather short-sightedly borrowed to the Soviet Workers and Peasants. Workers and Peasants don't really know how to run a battleship very well, do they now?

The Russian Navy is the one we need to take seriously in this regard. It seems you are correct, if we are talking about dreadnaughts. I count the Russian Navy having seven, and the Italians having six Battleships in WW1. At least if the information in Wikipedia is somewhat correct. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_battleships_of_Russia_and_the_Soviet_Union https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_battleships_of_Italy
