In my experience (as a BB player), when you are in a BB going mano a mano against a DD, the DD will win. The DD can torp you, obviously, but it can also stay beyond your range of (mostly pathetic) secondaries, and keep spamming HE at you while dodging your rather poorly dispersed salvos. This is one of those balance things that I don't get. There's zero reason why a BB's smaller caliber secondary guns couldn't work against DD's.

Past evening, the pings were a little higher than usual for me. Nothing major, but fluctuating around 50 to 60, or so when they are usually between 30 to 40.

Yeah, it's back to normal in that sense. You have what WG determined as 'recommended skills', no idea what sort of skills they've actually picked. Most skills seem more or less useless to me, only the 'survival' related skills seem to do something worth while, whereas all the 'attack' skills are mostly not worth it for me, at least. BB play is less enjoyable, as a result, and I wouldn't have called it enjoyable before either. Being unable to match the gunnery fire power of a single destroyer has never made like zero sense to me. That has not changed, it's just that you've become even more dependent on team play, or so it seems to me. The teams you get, however, are still the same.... As for the cruisers, I have very little experience with their new skills. Cruisers are getting deleted (still) left and right, never liked them much before (except on occasion), so I will be engaging in more of that DD related action I guess, especially on the higher tiers.

It was possible to change modules for free, same as free captain respec (not training) for those who opted for it via the website. There was no change to the equipment modules per se, though, so that was just if you felt like you needed to change your builds on equipment level as well.

What's the difference? I'd have imagined 'Global' applies it to all games.

Sometimes the blur effect can be down to you own specs.

It's under Manage 3d settings in Control Panel, first option on the list.

Thanks. I wonder, what would happen if I kept the TXAA and disabled the MSAA and FXAA, just theoretically. I'm a little hesitant to reduce the sea rendering quality (because I like the look of it... ). I've actually locked the FPS to 30, as I don't think I need to get 60 (or do I?) and 30 is a lot more stable than having 60 was when I was using that. As for the full screen... I mostly run all games now windowed, I prefer to see the tool bar and I keep switching in and out with Alt+Tab a lot. Performancewise, full screen might be more optimal.

Here are my current settings. I only ticked the two new boxes today to see if they do something, they seem to smooth up things (make more blurry, in other words...), but I didn't notice any impact on performance. I've locked the FPS to 30 (yes, 30!) and my ping is varying somewhere between 30 to 40. The experience seems to run smoothly, but, of course, it can vary day to day. So... you think I might just as well try it with higher texture settings?

560.. I actually turned texture quality to 'Low'. Somewhat blurry, but not that you'd notice in battle.

If anyone wants to know, mine was denial.

So they do work? Excellent! It says 'upscale', notice. Means enhanced lag.

The only reason I ever experienced repeated and constant reboots in a game was due to a faulty PSU.

The captain skill rework, IMHO, has been a huge finger for most BB players here. It is now more difficult to do well (especially out of division) in most circumstances. However, I somehow suspect there are players who will now be able to make better use of their BB's, though this is not applicable to somewhat averagish players like myself.

I don't recommend this approach... Anything can happen, but at least in the past even I was able to win a battle as a DD being the last surviving player on my team....
