    Tried a couple of random battles with a secondary build GK.... Not recommended. The problem is not so much with the lackluster secondaries as it is with the fact that you get shot us and HE spammed long before you can return any fire, not just with secondaries but even with your main guns!

    So, they use this to find out if some CV's within the class are either over or under performing in relation to the whole class if I understood you correctly. That makes sense, but do they have metrics that they use to gauge if any ship class is OP in relation to one more of the available ship classes?

    Could you elaborate on that? How is WR relevant in a game where for every battle fought the exact same number of CV's ends on the winning as well as the losing side?

    Interestingly, I have only managed to watch his videos rather selectively, as I haven't spotted any of that toxicity and elitist behaviour others have pointed out. Still, what he is saying should not be ignored only because it is him who's saying it.

    It depends, DD's are currently the most affected ship class. Overall, though, I wouldn't say the CV's are the biggest issue in the game, though I still think they are one of the issues and taken as a whole, the game feels more and more broken as some people have pointed out.

    I watched it, and the popcorn stuck in my throat. "Bad Game Design" I find myself agreeing with ICQ. It's not just the CV's, it's the whole frigging enchilada that's gone sour here. Lack of active counter play options and how the players are forced to adopt unhealthy (pathological) game play tactics in response to a whole host of problems derived from WG's bad game design....

    Funny, because I don't mind it, what scares me is the HE spam that I have no counterplay for, and a team that disappears into thin air when support is needed faster than a puddle in the Sahara desert.

    Oh, right.. sorry about the confusion. But that mod is also part of the official Modstation. The max speed indicator can be considerably more useful as long as the target is running at max speed but it won't actually make you aim better, only give you a reference point against which you can adjust your aim. Technically speaking, the information is available in Wiki and is not a secret, so while useful, it is fair as limitations apply, and again, available to all players and legit.

    The 'Speed indicator' is available through official Modstation, so at least that is fully legal. Is it fair?... well, for starters anyone can use it, and secondly, it is not 100% useful except in situations where you can't see which way the target is moving, in those instances it helps you adjust your aim. It is mostly useful against bow tanking and camping BBs.

    As far as I'm considered, the game mechanics when it comes to the secondaries have never worked correctly, that is to say for engaging enemy light forces and this is not a map issue, it's a game design and balancing issue first and foremost. (Though as a proponent of the Ocean you know my position when it comes to any other map we have...) Under the sort of game design we have, the secondaries really are only useful in the sort of situations where IMHO you should be careful not to place yourself in the first place. After the disastrous captain skill rework, they now fail you utterly everywhere except in Coop.

    No, no, no, nonononononono! Sorry, mate, I have to disagree with you in the strictest possible terms. I've done some reflecting and this type of thinking is IMO the exact reason why we have a broken game in our hands. Why I'm thinking this, is because of the following reasons. First, obviously, gameplay mechanics would need to be designed and, if necessary, reworked to give everyone here an actual 'fun and engaging' gameplay experience. If a particular ship or a whole ship class is overperforming, this needs to be addressed and OP ships and capabilities need to be be adjusted. This can mean either buffing, or nerfing or lateral adjustments. Premium ships, obviously, present a problem here. Secondly, the above, however, is entirely separate from the issue of the player numbers, i.e., 'popularity' of the ships, particularly when it comes to a whole ships class. You are, on the other hand, entirely correct stating that this is a legimite issue and any business would need address is this issue. But... Their approach has been entirely wrong, because those two issues need to be kept entirely separate from each other. They've made the mistake of mixing apples and oranges, and I for one do not like the taste of that. The popularity issue needs to resolved through other means, that do not have direct impact on the ship performance or general playability (is that a real word?). My suggestion itself may seem controversial, but the easiest and fairest way to adjust popularity would have been through adjustments in game economy. For instance, I play BBs a lot, but often (read typically) there are way too many BBs in the queue and lineup to make sense. If the BBs are too popular, the economy would need to be adjusted to reduce their popularity, and if another class is too unpopular, their economy would need to be boosted instead. My two cents.

    Comic Sans? But that's not Comic Sans, at least it does not show up as Comic Sans on my screen unless I am very much mistaken. On topic, the whole game mechanics are a total effing shambles, and now that we know the endless 'rebalances' and 'reworks' have not been designed or implemented for actual balance reasons, it is easy to understand why we find ourselves in this huge steaming pile of... issues.

    They be bots... As far as I've noticed, CV's are the main reason why Coop battles can drag on, as they routinely turn away and go for the furthest map end. Funny, where could they have picked up that little habit? I could also swear some bots have now learned to turn away from the caps and switch flanks which would also contribute to longer battles. As to why... I always suspect some nefarious design behind any changes....
