The ship is currently being tested. I'm sure the ever competent WG balancing team will no doubt adjust the ship stats if it is found to be over performing.

Statistical analysis: Container gathering for 38+ months by normal playing!
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I typically use only two flags under most normal occasions in randoms, Zulu for captain XP when I'm after those, plus the regular increased ship XP when grinding that, in combination with an xp bonus camo. Additionally, I may use repair cost reduced and extra credits flags. -

Lol. Almost like if I hate HE spam I should broadside to encourage them to use AP. Almost... I think bow on would help more against HE spam then based on what you are saying. I often wonder about that btw, it is much easier for me to hit ships that are bow (or stern) on than ships that are broadsiding. Not exactly sure why for other players it seems to be the exact opposite... Yeah, that is the smart way. At times I get the 'wrong' reaction though and instinctively put down the fire too quickly. Going dark does not always work though, because there can be either planes or DD's that keep you permaspotted. Otherwise it is a good idea to always position yourself so that you can disengage. Or try... at least. Avoid crossfire, check. Ee.. uhm... I usually tend to stear clear of islands for a couple of reasons. I get often stuck if I get too close, and I hate surprises, especially when there is a BB behind the rock, though usually there's only a DD, cruiser (or two) and a BB. One problem, at least for me, is that the benefit you get from those skills does not really be worth the points you have to use. Especially, if those are more effectively used on other skills. -

Fascinating. I've never thought it that far, but considering you don't need camo or flags (camo not on issue on premium ships, ofc), or even top rate captain for that matter (or a captain at all these days), and considering that you will be effectively boosting your rate of mission performance with the added benefit of being able to avoid all the drama on the high seas that the randoms are (well, not really 'high seas' more like a rocky puddle as most maps are...) coops become an attractive proposition! Might be handy sorting out your ships into different play modes, too bad we don't have filter settings for that. Perhaps some kind soul could make a mod for the Modstation for this purpose? -

You said positioning twice though. Now, by positioning I would understand two things, 1) avoid being in crossfire, 2) keeping your distance from the enemy ships, and 3) focusing on the enemy ship that presents the most immediate threat. 1) and 2) will directly reduce your incoming damage, the 3) one will allow you to counter it, if not actually reduce it. By angling I think most people mean not being bow on or broadsiding for that matter. The difficulty with this is two-fold, IMO. You can only effectively angle against one enemy ship. By angling against one, you potentially expose too much of your broadside against an other enemy ship, possible further away from you but capable of implementing massive damage to you even at longer ranges. Secondly, you have to keep moving, because if you are too slow you can't do WASD and become way too easy to hit. This makes it hard to maintain the proper angle. Thirdly, angling does nothing to help against HE spamming. Proper 'fire control'... you talking about actual fire control or fire prevention? For that we have the R for repair, and the heal consumable (when applicable). Under captain setup there are some of those damage mitigating skills, but which ones would be critical, because even when going for full defensive captain build you can't pick them all, not to mention if you want to have a 'balanced' captain build. -

We often hear that, 'damage mitigation', but what exactly does it entail? -

It's not the CV itself, it's the player can unlock that potential. Some can, some can't. -

I've often wondered is playing quick Coop battles in succession a faster way of farming XP for those containers as opposed to playing randoms. (Though, often my randoms are quick too but with little xp to be farmed...) For many missions themselves, though, coop is definitely the way to go. However, we currently have a lot of missions active which cannot be done in coop at all. -

Though, the problem is with HE spamming, not with the enemy actually winning. If so, there's not really a problem here if the enemy gets punished for HE spamming and for being bloody annoying. -

At least it's shifting the queue from BBs to cruisers. If... you wanna look at the bright side... -

Unsure, actually. OP threads seem to fall under all kinds of things, from bug related statements, to questions of how to solve problems, to kind of, well.. 'awkward' ones (like 'trying too hard' or something). Not that they've been well received, but whatever it is, there is some kind of language level 'disconnect' as well. BTW, he is using a language that is definitely CZ/SK. -

10 pt captain is sufficient across the board. Relatively quick to get too, so the best approach is have them on the 'less often' played ships. -
Just hate the idea you going over this. I've sank many ships over the years, admittedly, most of them were my own. Still I sailor on.

Sorry, mate. But I for one still don't know exactly what is wrong with your captains. Everyone needs to retrain them if they move them to another silver ship. I can only see a problem if you get some message telling you to retrain when you move a captain back to a ship and you have not retrained the captain for another ship in the meantime. -
Yamato actually is one the best ships out there.

Well, if you like brawling with secondaries blazing, the options are.. shall we say, fairly limited currently. However, I'm sure as we speak WG is a) hard at working to find a solution; and b) even harder of thinking how to make the most money through it.

One of the biggest problems with the resetting. IMO, if WG had thought about the players here, the modules would get demounted for free. As it is, this is basically just another way to reduce resources and encourage people to grind/spend more. Highly recommended! That's the only way this makes any sense, as in where there could be a problem if his regrinded ships refuse to accept their captains back and require re-training. A very handsome captain, I approve!
