In WoT they did this better, the originally Soviet tech tree premium Polish T-34-85 known as Rudy (complete with the dog that no longer barks...) was later made optionally available for the Polish tech tree with a 2nd Polish crew (the originally 'Soviet' Polish crew staying with the 'Soviet' version. Hmm.. not that much, but... if your team wins the money can be good. Tried one battle with the Småland and earned a little over 1 million credits for it. Not sure what I'd have gotten if it had been a defeat.

Just theorizing here, but I think the game is more fun when everyone is on the same page, I don't mean skill level so much (as long as the two teams are balanced in this regard so we won't get that snowball/steamroll effect), but rather a similar take on the game in terms of play style and tactics. Maybe the mindset on the EU is different or more varied due to the size of the player base, and as a result we get a 'free for all' with half the team bogged down in a stale camping mode and the other half making uncoordinated yolo moves with much of the fun falling through the cracks in the engagement.

I'd be curious to know if you've spotted any major differences after switching servers. You know, like play style, tactics, team play, ship popularity and the like. And welcome to the EU server!

Again, IMO, the smart approach here is to limit one's use of signal flags to competitive modes such as CB or ranked, skipping them in randoms except when needed to complete whatever dastardly time gated mission WG has chosen to throw at us and we, for reasons of our own, choose to prioritise.

WG has removed flags for achievements in order not to unnecessarily burden your UI. Let's be more appreciative of WG's considerate efforts to continue to spoil us and think of our collective well-being, comrades.

Huh? We talking about the same game? In most of my battles it's more like paintball than a naval game....

But this isn't a tactical game...

I'm no longer in the 'crate business' as it were, so my only consideration is 'which ships do I want' and nothing else, with a major point to consider before committing being 'do I need this ship'. Well, sometimes I may want a ship even if I don't want it, and sometimes I may not want to get a ship, premium, nerfium, or freemium or whatever, even if I could objectively need it. I have Hyûga even if it is a nerfium because I wanted it as it is ticks so many boxes for me, Japanese, Battleship, mid tier and real.

So...do you think should we buy or skip these new premiums? Like completely, or buy them while being aware they may get nerfed (make that in all probability they will get nerfed)? I got the Hyuga myself, but I'm still thinking about Ise... not just because of the 'nerf clause' mind you. Still, I feel more comfortable buying these mid tier premiums than high tier ones, not least because the maps and game play are much more enjoyable as a whole.

They might.. or they might just say 'screw it' and change games.

Well... you have to complete the primary objective and there's exactly two ways to do it. First, you protect your transports so they will land enough troops... or... failing that you have to sink all the remaining enemy ships.

My DD's detonate relatively rarely, only slightly more often than cruisers and BB's do... and I don't have any flags, and in most cases nor any magazine mod 1 either.

I had one battle today where this was achieved by the CV... with Kraken at the end. The last on our team, the time ran out and we won by about nine points or so.

Both are actually needed in RL. I must assume, then, that the subs will be 'mostly harmless' if one of the most important ASW countermeasures is removed.

I had a similar experience way back. My ISP's DNS server did not hook up properly to the Internet. The problem was eventually solved, but I switched to Cloudflare DNS for immediate fix.
