You can't. You have to roll a new account for that. Double the pay, double the fun!

The return and economic nerf of Missouri.
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Miscommunication_dept's topic in General Discussion
There's two issues here, one has to with changing an existing premium ship. The second issue is the credit earning potential of the Missouri. It can be a huge asset, because the Missouri is a credit printer. Just going into a battle to play sitting duck would earn you a profit. Potentially, I'd say, if you got the Missouri, you might not need to have a premium account for credits (you might want it for other reasons, of course) because the Missouri can be your premium account. -

A VERY good point, thank you. -

Not for me sorry, very quick tonight, sometimes it takes two or even three full 'reels'...

As I mentioned, we get to pay for our very own shaft. -

Uhm.. yes. Technically speaking, no matter what way you look at this, they are changing a previously released ship in a fundamental way. -

Nothing's free (certainly not Puerto Rico...) WG even makes us pay for the shaft. -

But... but... how can this be? I thought WG has repeatedly pulled a ship because it was 'too popular'... -
Changes to be made to Viribus Unitis
Karasu_Browarszky replied to capt_and's topic in General Discussion
I'll try that... it's the old dilemma if it's better to angle or go bow in straight. Another problem is... they get too close for comfort and I don't really have much of an appetite for hand-to-hand combat on modern ships.... -

I will try, but the VU is not autobouncing enough... -

No no no no... I don't want any 'imaginary refits', please. WG already ruined Bayern completely! I don't mind what tier each ship is as long as A) they will face ships/refits of the same era and B) we get to do the missions with the low tier ships as well. -

It's always situational. AA is not a problem unless there are CV planes attacking you. The guns are goodish, sometimes the dispersion effs you up. I agree that the armour is on the weak side, while VU can perform overall, it will struggle noticeably against AP hits of equivalent tier BBs. This, really is not surprising because IMO the Viribus Unitis is perhaps more of a tier 4 BB than a tier 5. Remember how at least some other tier 5 BB's are actually having post-WW1 configurations, whereas the VU is essentially a WW1 era BB. However, I'm glad it is a tier V BB because that gives me much shorter queue times and allows me to complete missions as well. It's just that maybe the overall game balance would need a little rethinking... maybe? -
Changes to be made to Viribus Unitis
Karasu_Browarszky replied to capt_and's topic in General Discussion
Well, I did get sunk, but it was a tier 7 game, we did win (with a touch of luck as only a DD and one of our BB's survived), and I finished 3rd on the roster. My captain only had 6 pts trained as well. So I have to say the ship is strong, or at least it has potential depending on the team make up. It's possible to do much worse, of course, and not every battle goes that well. The biggest problem, though, I have to say is lack of AA so, take that into account, if there is a CV present it's an entirely different game. -

TBH, the ship is pretty strong. Last time I was in battle, it took a Gneisenau to sink me. -
The border between sea and land
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Battlehawk's topic in General Discussion
Yes, that is exactly what simulation games do. They make things considerably easier for you to play for the sake of gameplay over realism while retaining the immersion. But this is an arcade game *firm nod* which apparently means it makes a sh*tshow of everything and flushes any immersion down the drain along with that. -

Reactive Play vs Strategic: Ship Choices
Karasu_Browarszky replied to DaBung's topic in General Discussion
The French BB's can be surprsingly good, even when considering their rather 'interesting' turret layout. Due to the way this game is played, meta.. and all that, it's basically the same thing that matters no matter what ship class, IMO. Combination of a tight turning circle, fast rudder, and optimal turret rotation speed in relation to your ship maneuvering and reload times. -
TBH, I prefer modes where I can quietly sneak into a corner assured with the knowledge that I will go unspotted and everyone will miss me.

Brawls: Teams are matched based on player skill level
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Duecut's topic in General Discussion
Oh, I hope not. I was counting on Brawl to finally be able to face off against a team brimming with equal incompetence and ineptitude.
