WarGambling and The "game room" on HMS Belfast
Karasu_Browarszky replied to WorstSeaLord's topic in General Discussion
TBH, I remember the not-quite-the-early-days of WoT. That was an amazing time to play that game. Since then... watching paint dry is more addictive these days... -

Cost of ships in the Premium Shop vs real cost of creating new 3D model
Karasu_Browarszky replied to ZaalKoris_vas_QwibQwib's topic in General Discussion
Normally, you'd think there are very few incentives for any company to voluntarily lower their prices. It's usually down to competition, but that's something WG hasn't had to worry about too much. They are also immune to the problem of 'over stocking', they don't have to unload older designs at cheaper prices to make room for new products. It's pretty straightforward then, if the price is right, it sells, if the price is too high, the sales go down. They'd only need to worry about pricing if they suddenly find themselves in a situation that the sales, and their revenue, are on the decline. -
Yeah you can always depend on Wargaming to turn every good idea into something twisted and corrupt. *Hammy music playing. Picture a creepy forest of evilly smirking trees each one trying to use their twisted branches to pick your pocket* kind of twisted and corrupt... But I like some of these idea, especially the idea of having a 'fixed' look for the ship, regardless of which bonus camo you are using. Also, I would have loved to 'premiumise' some of my tech tree ships. The perma camos go part of the way, but switching captains is still not as nice as it is with premium or special ships. Ops passes? Uh hmm.. uhm.. it is done in some games, but usually premium players don't have to pay for that sort of access. Anyway, if it is what it would take to give us quality operations in the game... worth considering. It's just that... do I trust Wargaming at this point enough to commit any further resources into their games....

Quite, you can obviously see her knees. Very inappropriate.

Oddly... that reminded me of something else. Have you heard the joke about the happily married man? -
Keep an eye out for any reflections near the surface.
-
Oh, dear. This is a pickle.
-
I'll do my best to balance it by heaping generous 'praise' on them here on the forums.
-
I've seen two years referenced somewhere, but no idea if this is credit card and/or paypal.
-
Not paying but playing actually consumes WG resources while not giving them a red cent in return. That's... what I call a very Russian Win-Win!
-
Hope in the midst of all that hard work they remember to pop over to the famous Lesta Cafeteria for refreshments.
-
Closed. But I'm not going to extremes like getting married or something.
-
That is a personal attack BTW.

Someone down voted OP... Gee golly!

Wargaming shitstorm reaches outside media

In most situations, most people will stick to what they have now, only those people who have nothing are willing to risk everything. In most situations, those people will only end up being exploited by the more cynical interests directing the flow of events. -
Since the Missouri figures so prominently in their statement, I can't help but get the feeling they are primarily trying to placate the NA community with this response. If they give the NA community an additional way to get the Missouri, apart from the gambling boxes... maybe people will forget the issue with the extraneous gambling and predatory monetization still going on...

Sikrit footage, comrades.. showing Sub_Octavian and other Lesta big wigs in action.
-
Yeah, but I'm focused on how much I'm losing not so much on what they are making.
-
Well, if I close my wallet, I can't see myself losing much.
-
Well, if you try to find a bright side to this, it will depend on how exactly will the Missouri become additionally available, and what exactly will the credit bonus be in practice for those with the old Missouri. Basically, all other concerns go unaddressed, of course.
